GoogleFound using Rent as a landlord difficult, slow, and disappointing on multiple occasions (no experience as a tenant, this may be different). Responses are slow if ever, and the staff are not the most polite. A shame, as when Alison was running Chase things were fantastic. I was confused seeing all the top-star reviews here, but then scrolled through to see a lot of them are historically Chase before the merger to Rent Hertford, so this explains it. I find you can tell a lot about a company from how they respond to reviews online. You need only to scroll to the negative reviews and see the lack of professionalism in Rent Hertford's responses to understand the business. A real shame, as a local resident I was keen to work with another local business. I hope they can take onboard feedback and improve in future.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism
Naturally it’s disappointing to receive your review. I have emailed you to try and understand your points further but I’m yet to hear from you. In the meantime I think it’s fair that we put some context into this review. We last acted for you in April 2019, at which time we found a tenant for you, we do not manage nor collect the rent so your contact with us in those 2 and bit years is very limited. All of the reviews here with the exception of 1 have been collected since Chase Lettings moved over to Rent.hertford. We are totally committed to delivering the very best service to both landlords and tenants, we don’t always get everything right but I’m pleased to say the vast majority of the time we do and that is reflected in the numerous 5 star reviews. Alison still manages the office along with Margaret who both have lots of autonomy. I am genuinely sorry to see your review and I hope that you do reply to my email so I can see what has gone wrong. GoogleMy work brings me in regular contact with the team at Rent Hertford. They have always been courteous, unbiased and friendly from the first time I met them. I have never had to chase them, they have always responded promptly and appropriately to all my communications. They (M, S and R) have a perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. I find it a pleasure any time I pop in personally to see them.

GoogleWe have been using this Letting Agent for several years now and only have positive feedback to offer. They have been brilliant with the ever increasing number of hoops that a landlord has to jump through in order to be compliant. Equally we have heard from our tenants how responsive they are to problems in the properties compared to other agents. So, to sum up - full marks all round.

GoogleDon't believe their 5* Reviews they're all fake. Look at the time stamps. And how many reviews they've left... Lied about multiple situations, atrocious response time, generally unscrupulous behaviour. Also, anyone who writes anything even slightly negative they respond with the most pathetic of retorts. Quite pathetic really. - Avoid like Yersinia pestis... Watch Stath Lets Flats...
