I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Chancellors Estate Agents in Hereford while selling my property, and I must highlight the outstanding service provided by Bethany Ashton. From the outset, Bethany has been incredibly helpful, supportive, and professional, making what is often a stressful process feel calm and straightforward. Bethany is attentive to every detail, responds promptly to queries, and keeps me updated at every stage, something that’s rare in estate agency! Bethany genuinely took the stress out of selling my house , offering clear guidance and reassurance without ever being pushy. Her positive attitude and proactive approach have made all the difference. So far, the experience with Chancellors has been excellent, and Bethany is a huge part of that. I’d highly recommend her to anyone buying or selling in the area, a true asset to her team!

If you’re struggling to choose between one estate agent or another then, if it helps, I wish I’d chosen Chancellors to start with. The team at Hereford is organised and thorough, they’re easy to contact and reply quickly. Ruby keeps you well informed of progress and Bethany, who is an exceptional negotiator, has made the whole process easy. She’s been brilliant to work with, as has everyone.

When we originally put our house on the market, we did the sensible thing of getting 3 estimates. chancellors came in the middle, and as we were in no real rush to sell, we went with another local estate agents at the higher estimate, even though Chancellors personnel were more approachable and less false. After 12 months and not a lot of interest or sale, we decided to go to Chancellors. This wasn't a mistake, and we really wish we did this 1st time around. Proves going higher does always work. The Staff are very professional and listen. The weekly updates were valuable and they really work hard for you. The agent who constantly came to our house to show potential buyers around was lovely and warm. Not over the top or pushy. Was a delight to deal with her. The feedback was instant and we had many viewings in a short time. Unfortunately personally circumstances and the Mortgage market changing due to war in Iran, meant we couldn't really buy the house we wanted after receiving an offer on ours. After a tough decision, we decided to pull of the market. Ruby and hers staff were very supportive and listened to us and fully appreciated our sensible decision. When we try to sell again in the next 18 months, there no doubt about it, we will pick Chancellors again. 5 stars from me

George scheduled us for a viewing at the last minute, and we are very grateful. Due to the high volume of interest in the property, we are lucky we got a chance to view it. My partner and I thought George was very friendly and helpful. We were shown around the property, and our questions were answered confidently. George sent us the application forms first thing in the morning and has assisted us with our enquiry. Now, we have our fingers crossed for a good outcome.

An absolutely awful company, do not deal with them. Our experience of letting our property through Chancellors and Thameside Property Management has been filled with unnecessary stress and hassle. Our tenants have left however they will not send me the final inspection report and have not returned my keys. They will not respond to my phone calls and emails. Thameside Property management are by far the worst company I have ever dealt with, Chancellors should be embarrassed to work with them.

The worst possible experience with an agent but I can't give zero stars. We viewed a property on the 16th of August with miss Ellie Humphrey, Chancellors agent. She doesn't seem to be bothered at all that she received a list of further questions to answer, as we were interested in that property. I personally contacted her 3 times for her to reply only to my second email(where I asked if she could at least let me know if she got it). She replied with a promise she'll get this information for us. After over a week without a reply I called the agency, only to be informed that the property is under offer and with yet another promise from another Chancellors employee that miss H. will contact me with the details I asked for. As far as I'm aware, accordingly to Estate Agents Act 1979, agents are obliged to give each potential buyer the same treatment - provide relevant information to clients declaring interest. My last attempt was yesterday morning, as I sent her one last email but this is ridiculous. And I know for a fact she's not on holiday or away from work, because the person who I spoke to on the phone said they will speak to miss H. I tried to be understanding and give her time but two weeks should be more than enough to contact the seller, especially that she did have time to do business with another potential buyer. From now on I will be avoiding Chancellors at all cost and I will share my experience if anyone ever asks me for my opinion.

Chris Dorsett from this office conducted a viewing of Graftonbury Court. Unfortunately, the property was not for us at this time but the flat was exemplary. We had estimates of value and selling style from different agents in Hereford. Chancellor’s came in with a bang, great research, thorough look around the house and a price that pleased us. Zoe was so dynamic we signed up during her visit and the taster advert was up on the next day. The official photos were marvellous and we have had prospects looking round the house. Our home is not bland and some of the modern kitchen is not to everyone’s taste - however Chancellors’s point out the coloured cupboard doors are only Dulux paint !! My family and I were looking for a property to accommodate quite a few needs...limited mobility, pets, large family. Not an easy fit at all. Lyndsey was amazing! Thanks to Chris for showing us round a property recently! We brought our 5yr old with us who was quite challenging as children want to know everything and love anything new to them so viewing a property with people already living there which obviously contains all their possessions was a playground! Chris at Chancellors Hereford drew no attention to this and was professional throughout the visit, he presented the property in a great light and the owners should be proud that he is leading on this one! Timothy Whorwood, Prime Sales Manager acted for us in both the purchase and the sale process. We found him attentive, supportive and complimentary, with excellent attention to detail and always ready to offer sound, expert advice. He developed a respectful but personal relationship with us and as with one’s lawyer, we felt that Tim was working to further our best interest. During our sale, he came back to us promptly with the comments of viewers and was willing to discuss the ‘between-the-lines’ detail (and to warn us of any concerns that he might have). He always arrived in good time to hold a brief discussion prior to the arrival of viewers. For those unused to buying and selling a property, all of this is most important. Whenever we had a need to contact Tim, he made himself available (or promptly returned our call if in a meeting - even if this meant phoning of an evening - for there was never pressure of time constraint). From the moment of making initial enquires with Chancellors, their customer service has been exceptional! I have been predominately dealing with Chris Dorsett in the sales department and he has been polite, welcoming, and above all, informative which is what is required when looking to purchase property. Chris made sure I was kept upto date with any new listings, sold and currently available, which helped me plan ahead. Also a mention to Lynsey in lettings who has also kept me upto date with any potential listings. Her phone manner is always polite and gives good customer service. I am still hoping to find the perfect property but Chancellors have made viewing property a pleasant and very exciting experience so far.
