A few months back, I spoke to a man called Oakley on the phone, from the Southampton branch, who genuinely made me feel sick and disgusted, through his misogynistic and backward minded comments towards woman! I had rang to enquire about a property, for a very close friend of mine, who at the time, was at work and unable to use the phone to make her own enquiry. So she emailed me and asked if I could ring on her behalf, which I was more than happy to do. I rang and got through to an Oakley, I explained how my friend was interested in a property and that she would like to book a viewing. All good so far, but then, Oakley started to ask questions on my friends current circumstances, 'your friends income?', "£35000pa" 'great! Any children?' "yes, one 12 year old boy". At that point Oakley then stopped me short and said, 'I'll have to stop you there, as from my experience, woman like that! Single mums, make bad tenants, as they can never hold down a full-time job and always just end up claiming benefits, never paying their rent, upsetting their neighbours, smoking weed and just end up being a general nuisance to everyone!' After hearing that, I was so upset, I actually just put the phone down. And wanted to forget about it. Until now, because of the time we live in, repulsive, backward minded people like that, should be called out at every opportunity. I wonder what happened in this persons life, to have so much disrespect and hatred towards woman. I genuinely feel sorry for you and hope you seek the help you so desperately need, to be a descent human being. Not the low life scum that you are!

I dealt with Fox and Sons in Hove for the purchase of a flat on Hove seafront in late 2021. All the staff at the branch were extremely helpful throughout the whole process, even when the seller had to get rid of an awkward tenant, they really couldn't have done anymore; Keira and Darren in particular were excellent. Jamie at the branch helped me get my mortgage too. I would highly recommend Fox and Sons and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

One star is one too many; what can I say...Avoid at all costs! They valued the property at 400k in line with Zoopla and several other valuations including a RICS valuation. They convinced us to go on at 375k to start a bidding war which they insisted they could do. Typical sales crap. Anyway, they planned to do an open day, listed the property then unlisted it to allow Rightmove to update normally a 48-hour process. It didn't go live on to Rightmove for almost 14 days despite numerous calls to the office and getting fobbed off and told this was normal, It is NOT! This led to only 2 viewings on the open day. We had spoken to their mortgage team and almost 20 weeks into the contract they have still not contacted us back to provide the updated mortgage information meaning even if an offer was received it could not be accepted and despite formal complaints this was still not resolved. At almost every stage they have tried to get us to drop the price to 350k even though we did receive an offer of 370k and they said that was the best we could expect. They have tried to get us to do a boxing day relaunch with only 10 days left on the contract and when we did try to get a relaunch by dropping by 2% they did not return our calls. The viewings were shocking, and they didn’t know which garage was which. Failed to point out key aspects of the kitchen and planning permissions in place for expansion and on two occasions failed to show up leaving me to do the viewings not to mention inaccuracies when updating Rightmove. In my opinion they are more focused on their Rightmove statistics than customer service in 20 weeks our property was emailed out twice to perspective buyers! AVOID and use an small or independent.

Absolutely bunch of useless people in Yeovil branch. Wasn't honest in the whole process claiming I was lying in my application, was promised my holding fee back and they refused and never actually took the property off the market after taking my money. Took weeks to hear back from anyone as there entire communication is terrible. Would rate 0 stars if could

GoogleDanielle Lakin, the mortgage advisor, based in Fox & Sons, Hastings, was extremely helpful and friendly. She always let me know what my options were, and was open and transparent about recommendations vs requirements - I never got the impression she was upselling. Furthermore she was efficient and speedy when it came to dealing with solicitors, mortgage providers and other estate agents. Highly recommended!

GoogleI contacted Fox and Sons to view a property and was very pleased with the person I spoke to, sorry I can’t remember his name. When we arrived at the property I was met by Katie, she had all the information about the property, she’d obviously researched the house and could answer all my questions. She was friendly, polite and respectful. Although the house wasn’t for me I will bear Fox and Sons in mind again.

The whole team has been so supportive in helping us to find a new home, which we have in less than a month. The team are on hand to give advice regarding mortgage and solicitor paperwork. Terrible service at fox and sons at Taunton.Tell you what you want to hear for you to buy the property.No communication at all, If you need to speak to someone they are always busy and never return your call so always have to ring them back again. Failed to contact us with important information that resulted in us pulling out the sale. When I phoned in to inform them it would be likely we would have to pull out, the person who was dealing with the sale was busy and I still didn't get a call back and that was over a couple of weeks ago. We have now pulled out and 10 days on still have had no contact from the estate agents but I can see the sellers have put their property back on the market with a different estate agents so I think that says it all, they obviously wasn't happy with the service they were getting either.This has put me off ever buying or selling a property through Fox and son due to the terrible service, its the added stress you don't need when buying/ selling a property.

A great service at Bognor, with great leadership. In particular, we are extremely impressed with Sam, a relatively new member of their superb team. He is a great asset to their personalised service. New as he may be to the role, he is the most proactive and communicative estate agent we have ever had the pleasure of working with on our case. We have moved 8 times in 50 years, and he is the best there is. He remains aware of customers plight, and engages every skill in selling our property.Despite having our first offer withdrawn on health grounds, Sam continued his efforts to find another buyer aware of our needs in moving out of area. He remained focussed, maintaining a balance between encouraging and supporting us the vendor, whilst not exerting too much pressure on prospective buyers, till reaching success in getting a second offer on our property. He has an amazing customer focus with a calm, efficient and professional approach, in both his personal presentation and his work. He works long and hard hours in pursuit of a successful outcome for vendor and buyer alike, and his timely communication during contract process is much appreciated. He is so interested in what he does and his positivity is refreshing and encouraging all the way.
