Told me to come for a house viewing. Called me an HOUR before the viewing to confirm that I was coming and then when I finally arrived, the tenant was leaving her address so she wouldn’t let me view. I was told the person I was meant to see for the viewing was also at the wrong address on the other side of London…Make it make sense. Said they would call me back to arrange another viewing, heard nothing back from them. BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! Edit 03/01- They said “It's a shame you feel the need to leave such a negative review on a public forum, which directly impacts our Business, over a genuine mistake which we explained and apologised for”. Yet, as you mentioned before, YOU said you would call back in a few days to rearrange a viewing, and you were all quiet the entire week and the following week. I made the effort to go for the viewing, don’t call me to confirm I am coming, when the person that is meant to be there hasn’t confirmed where they’re at. I can leave such a negative review as that is my experience so it’s not a shame, although you love to use the same line on anyone that speaks up about your wrongdoings. Submitting a private complaint would have done nothing, I might aswell make things clear for others.

Amazing, Amazing Amazing. If you want a company that will go the extra mile this is it. Fiona was amazing when my mother recently sold her flat and moved. We had a lot of issues with my mother's solicitor and Fiona was always there explaining and pushing to get everything over the line. We are so grateful because without her I do believe we would have lost everything. Fiona came to give me a Probate valuation and attended on time and followed through with the appropriate valuation. I obtained similar from other agents but Fiona’s attitude was by far the most professional and helpful, so I had no hesitation in using her services for selling the property. However, not the fault of this Estate Agent, who from the beginning at valuation through to viewings, offers, purchaser's withdrawal, re-marketing, new viewings, offers and finally exchange and completion remained helpful, efficient and professional. Poor customer service. I was called multiple times on the day of the viewing to confirm my attendance. Despite this, no one turned up at the property and I wasn’t informed. I had to contact them myself, and was then told someone was on their way, which turned out not to be true. This shows a clear lack of care and professionalism. I won’t be using them again.

I can not recommend Hinton (and more specifically Fiona) enough. When we decided to put our flat on the market we met about 8 different companies and both my husband and I agreed that she was the only person we would happily see again! Really down to earth without all the over the top sales cliches that all of the other people we met portrayed. She responds really promptly to all communications and we never had to chase her for anything. Over the 3 years we worked with her she got offers on our flat 3 times the first weekend of viewings and things only ever fell through from our side. We’ve also seen her from a buyers perspective as she has shown us properties too and you can see she really cares about the places she’s selling. Very knowledgeable about the industry as a whole and gave us lots of good advice. Fiona thanks so much from both of us.

Hinton and Downes is the worst estate agents. I asked to view a 2/3 bed property in Harrow Weald and was shown the property by Sophie. I showed my interest on the same day of the viewing and sent the form back and I never got any response back. I sent emails, messages and visited the estate agents personally and asked to speak to Sophie and she wasn't at her desk. When Sophie came out she was abrupt like anything and said 'can I help you' in such an unprofessional and horrible tone. No sense of manners at all. Sophie is definitely in the wrong role and rude like anything you don't want her to be dealing with your lettings. And to this date since over 3 weeks now I havent heard back from Sophie and nor has she even bothered to respond to my messages. With lettings it is a YES or NO answer and if the property is no longer available at least let me know that apologies but this property is no longer available but no, nothing. If I could it would be a 0 star rating because I have seen lots of properties through loads of estate agents and all have been lovely and filled with manners unlike yourselves.
