I was a long-term client of L&S from 2010-2023 as they managed a rental property in Chapel Allerton for me when I lived abroad and then helped me sell it. They are good at getting tenants, managing all the paperwork regarding tenancy, getting the rent in, and organising resolutions when the tenants report a problem. I have spoken to some very efficient and professional members of the maintenance team during that period.However, there seems to be a constantly changing personnel in the lettings team meaning that I regularly spoke to someone new. If I had a question about my property I had no central contact to reach out to so I normally emailed the branch manager (who is very good but I felt a nuisance for bothering him so often). On selling the property I found that when they'd replaced windows for me at the property they'd used companies unable to provide a Fensa certificate which was frustrating. The sales manager was awful and his communications were terrible. He left out details in the description of my property that he prepared for sale, and I had to go back to him twice to correct spelling mistakes! He passed me onto a service called MoveButler to apparently speed up the sales process by gathering all my property details there. I subsequently discovered none of this was ever passed to my solicitor so 4 weeks later she asked me for exactly the same information. Fortunately the woman in sales that worked with him was excellent.

I find it interesting that they have asked for reviews when their customer service isn't great. Slow replies to maintainance emails. Specific avoidance of certain questions about mould in our flat. Their portal states a time you should get a response in, it's gone way past that. The day we picked our keys up, everyone was cracking beers open in the office and it wasn't the most friendly of experiences. I emailed a question and never got a response (although that was to a personal email). We were previously with Adair Paxton, who were absolutely amazing in comparison, and so quick to deal with issues.
