The whole team at S&P in Harpenden were extremely professional and responsive in both the sale of our house and our purchase of our new house. They gave us a truthful and realistic valuation of our house and therefore managed our expectations. All of the team familiarised themselves with our house so they knew how best to present it to prospective purchasers. They were very responsive and kept us up to date with all developments. On the purchase side, the team only contacted us with properties within the parameters of what we were looking for. They did not waste our time. Eventually they were critical in securing the house that we wanted and now have purchased. I cannot praise the team highly enough. Selling and buying a house is a stressful purchase. Sally Noakes was an absolute delight and took such great care of us when showing us round the properties we enquired about. It felt like she really got to know us as people and understood perfectly what kind of home we were looking for. We were especially grateful for her time and effort, accommodating one particular viewing, the night before it went to last and final closing bids. She could have easily dismissed our request to view the property, but she stayed late and gave us plenty of time to walk around the house and garden. It made such a difference to the experience. Although we didn’t purchase a property via Strutt & Parker on this occaision, we would absolutely keep in contact with them and appreciated the kind and personalised approach Sally took with us

We decided to downsize our large 4 bedroom house in Harpenden for something smaller and approached 3 of the local Agents for advice. S&P did not give the highest estimate of market value for the house but gave the most impressive and confident assessment of the then current market and how we should present and advertise our property. Having chosen S&P we could not have been served better. The timing of going to market was spot on, the photographic brochure and description was brilliant, and their whole service felt caring and personal. Michelle was outstanding and was always available to give advice and to listen to our points of view. She produced buyer after buyer to look at the house once we put it on the market which produced 5 offers in the first week. She gave expert advice on which offer to accept and on how we should respond to questions raised by the buyers. I could go on but will conclude by saying I would have no hesitation using S&P again and cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone looking for an Agent. Thank you for a job very well dome. From the first time we met Andrew we felt confident he was the person to take our home to market. He understood us, how much a home we had built and lived in for 30 years was a bittersweet move, however the time was right to down size. He definitely understood the market, we did have some hard conversations. However time PROVED he was absolutely correct. We have just exchanged contracts on a house marketed by Strutt & Parker, and Aaron Turner has been a delight to work with. Although he was acting for the vendor, he invested more time and energy in keeping our purchase moving than our own estate agents did with our sales. He is calm, measured, experienced, and a great communicator. When my partner’s sale fell through and we had to pull out of the chain temporarily, Aaron was constructive and realistic about the steps needed to get things moving again quickly. Today we exchanged not only on our purchase, but also on the sales of both our properties, and Aaron has kept up momentum behind the scenes by proactively contacting all parties involved. This means that they have good market knowledge and insight and lots of relevant experience.
