Rented an appartment with foxtons at Standhope Gardens 62d Standhope gardens! After I found out that there were prostitutes residing before and that the bathtub collapsed 1 year ago and the wall crushed! Also, it was full of rats!

Two months after the end of a short let Foxtons still hadn't returned the deposit and failed to answer all correspondence. No issues or deductions have been suggested; they simply don't respond and I had to raise a dispute under the deposit protection scheme.

Leo in particular was absolutely fantastic at keeping us informed the whole time, he went out of his way and worked out of office hours to secure our property for us. GoogleI can see that many people have had good experience with this agenc, however for me and my friends it has been completely the opposite, so I am going to tell my experience: Some friends and I rented a house with this agency thinking it was a good one, however from minute one we realized that it was not. Since the beginning we realized that we had made a mistake renting a house with this agency. The day we moved in, the house was still dirty, with stuff from the old tenants, etc. so we complained to the agency, so that they could came to get all those things, which took months to come and collect. Soon after, the whole problem of the pandemic began, which made things even worse. Most of us lost our jobs, and one of the people who lived with us left the house without saying anything to us but to the agency, which let her go without problem, making the rest of us responsible of everything. With the whole problem of the pandemic, we were supposed to try to make an agreement with them, which with Foxton´s was completely impossible. For us it was a year of extra stress, a year of trying every single day to reach an agreement that would benefit us both, an agreement that never came. With all this I want to say that I would never rent with this agency again, apart from not recommending it to anyone!NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

GoogleWe recently sold our house with Foxtons. We were convinced to go with them despite the higher fee because they gave us the hard sell on foot traffic that they see and number of listings that they had at the time. We were selling shortly after buying for personal reasons and so knew we wouldn't recoup all of our money. Hussain Qazalbash had agreed to market it at a certain price (which we knew we wouldn't get). The very first day the house was listed he recommended dropping the asking price by £100K. This came as a great shock. It felt like he had agreed a price that he knew would get us to sign with Foxtons and from that point we were locked in for at least 14/16 weeks given the terms and conditions. Either the knowledge of the market was lacking (which given the Foxtons premium you would expect them to have) or they knew they would recommend such a drastic drop and just wanted us to be locked in so we had no realistic choice of going elsewhere. To their credit the number of vieweings was good and we did receive some offers. This is why they are getting 2 stars rather than none. However I found out that part of the house (attic) which was a big part of the potential of the house was not being shown to potential buyers. After the offer was accepted Hussain never really got in touch again and he was very difficult to get hold off. At one point I had to chase via email and phone messages for a week for an update. Foxtons is good for a quick sale but not if you need to be hand held through the process or want to feel like a valued customer. I do not think their higher fees are worth it and will not be using them again. I would urge others to avoid as well.

We were repeatedly given information by the letting agent that turned out to be untrue or later changed. Basic steps that should have been handled professionally were completely overlooked, causing us significant stress and financial loss.

GoogleWhat a pleasant surprise. It was a delight to work with Foxtons to find our home. All the staff we encountered where incredibly friendly and professional. A special mention for Leonardo who was especially attentive, polite, patient and helpful. It felt like we where getting a truly personalised experience. Leonardo would happily answer questions after hours and also proactively contact us to enquire as to how the move went. Well done to Foxtons for making the experience effortless, personal and professional.

GoogleLeonardo has been really helpful to us during our house search. He provides excellent customer service and keeps us updated all the time. I am very impressed with the service provided overall. When something in the house was broken, the property management team dealt with it immediately which I think was very efficient. We moved out of the apartment over three months ago and left it in perfect condition. The rental agreement stated that our deposit should have been returned within 10 days, yet we are still waiting. Despite repeated follow-ups, nothing has been resolved.

GoogleI have had a terrible experience trying to purchase a flat with Foxtons. The estate agent was extremely inexperienced and failed to disclose essential information about the property that led to the purchase falling through. I would highly advise against trying to purchase a property with Foxtons.
