Non-existent communication. Viewings done by an unprepared team: didn't know level of service charge, exposure, if the appliances were new or not, size of the flat or rooms. One claimed we had replaced the kitchen (we hadn't), another that the Hue Lights we installed were staying in the flat for the buyer (we never said that).

GoogleMy two flatmates and myself have had some dreadful experiences in the renting scene, but thanks to Lukas at Foxtons we have just settled into a really nice flat and with absolute minimal hassle and trouble. Can't rate Lukas' performance highly enough, he was attentive, on the ball, communicative, reliable and respectful of our time and needs. He was everything you'd want in an estate agent. I hope to not be renting again for a long time, but I know where I would start now if and when I do. Very pleased.

He has provided me and my partner with support from start to end, been available as and when we needed him, and answered all the questions we had. We could have faced a few obstacles without him. We love our place, and to reiterate, it wouldn’t have been possible without Lukas.

Terrible service. Very disappointed. I found a short let property on their portal myself, the agent (Amir Abbasian) kept suggesting either awful properties, or ones over my budget. They were very quick to call back and close the deal but once the deal was made, I never once was able to speak directly to my agent Olivia Taylor, or anyone from Foxtons again. Repeated messages and email queries went unanswered. Every two weeks a new person would be in touch and all my queries would be ignored. The property was nice and in good condition but i paid Foxtons 350 pounds for the end of tenancy clean, and was slapped with a 600 pound cleaning claim on my deposit. The property was never cleaned and my landlord claimed the charges from my deposit. at least a dozen emails later, I still don't have a protection document number for my deposit. I was told my deposit was protected. I ws told I would be provided an inventory upon moving in. I was told the place would be cleaned at the end of my tenancy, for which i paid. None of the above happened. Still waiting for part of my deposit to be returned, even though they said it was transferred three weeks ago and should take 5 to 7 days to be credited. I've settled the dispute with my landlord now, even though it is extortion, but it seems even he was being cheated by Foxtons.

GoogleI am a landlord renting through Foxtons. The team are a professional outfit and in my experience effective at finding tenants, however a word of warning they have a habit of adding non-disclosed fees hence the lower rating.

We listed our house with foxtons and the service has been abysmal. There’s been next to no effort or movement with trying to sell the house, no communications with any options etc. You get an account online which shows upcoming viewings - almost all viewings ‘booked’ haven’t actually happened and they don’t contact us to confirm it either. You expect a lot from an estate agent with their level of commission - dont bother.

GoogleI contacted Foxtons in regards to one of their properties and Moses Kazibwe called me straight back. He asked lots of questions, trying to understand what we are looking for and then showed several beautiful properties that matched our criteria. Moses deeply cares about his customers, provides great customer service and is great at keeping you updated at all times. I would recommend Moses if you need help finding a great new home!

GoogleI has one of the best experience working with Leonardo F and the company. Definitely will work with them again in future if i will have the opportunity and for sure i will recommend to any of my friends. Leo was very helpful and present, in my opinion he was done a great job as a mediator between the to parties (landlord and us). It was very easy to speak with him and he was always replay back to us for any question at any time in the short time possible. Hope that all the agents we will come across in future to be this helpful.

used to be good but ever since the intro of the renters rights acts, property management service has dropped off a cliff. This bad for landlords because they get poor management, bad for tenants because they get poor representation, and bad for the industry because estate / letting agents are no longer accountable.

If you are a renter, please do not use Foxtons. They are a scammy horrible company that only serves the interests of the landlord. They rented us an overpriced disgusting dump by using old out-of-date photos in the rental ad, and locked us into an abusively restrictive contract that made it impossible to leave the horrible dump that ruined my mental health. Do yourself a favour and stay away from these money hungry scammers.

She was on top of everything and very helpful. Thanks to Sephorah and Foxtons for making this tedious house securing process a walk in the park.

Extremely poor experience with Foxtons. We were left without proper cooking facilities for 25 days, which had a major impact on our daily life and forced us to spend extra money on food. A functioning cooker is a basic part of any home, yet this was not handled with the urgency it deserved.

I've recently started renting from Foxtons. They are both the letting agent and the managing agent. I have never paid so much for such a bad service. None of the extractor fans work, my heating doesnt work, the curtain rods are bent and now one has fallen off & luckily no one got hurt because they have taken so long to resolve the issues. I'm wondering is this even legal?

I contacted ONE agent for a specific property viewing, and it has turned into a total nightmare. I am being hounded by at least FOUR different colleagues from this branch. The frequency is beyond unprofessional, I just received 2 calls in the span of 5 minutes.

As a landlord (don't hate me!) paying for a managed service, they tried to charge me £90 + vat to fix a meter door with two cable ties. This is typical, and I have to chase them repeatedly for everything. My tenants and I deserve better.

I had an incredibly unfair and unprofessional experience with the Foxtons Deposits Team. We moved out in October 2025, yet it took five months for any clarity regarding our deposit, a delay that felt like a tactical move to strip us of our right to provide counter-evidence.
