Nice service - Petros - Dexters North Property Management Team

Good service, always clear communication. I have been renting from Dexters for more than a year. My house is under Dexters North Property Management Team, my personal property assistant is Petros. He always helps me with all my queries pretty fast and condition of property is always brilliant - regular checks of carpets, filters for AC system, maintenance etc. Actually Petros is one of those people who really want to help you if you face any issues with your flat.I am going to prolong my contract with them in a year

I lived in a Dexters new build (Ambrose House) for about 18 months from 2022-2023. Although there were some promised amenities that weren't delivered (gym, Tesco express, etc), a lower score wouldn't reflect the service we received from two attentive members of the team who went above and beyond.I was particularly impressed by Petros when he came on board. I found him personable, responsive and helpful. He and Suzy, another fabulous associate, are great members of the Dexters team and every interaction with them was pleasant. Suzy provided clear and consistent phone and email support and advice during our moving out period and Petros was proactive in ensuring we received our deposit once the necessary checks were done on our apartment.

Where do I start?

Jadasa was a tremendous, conscientious, and thorough resource for my wife and I as we settled into our flat managed by Dexters. The property was not in an ideal condition after the prior tenants' departure and required a lot of attention to bring things up to par. Jadasa masterfully managed the process, tactfully engaging both the owners and contractors to complete the various tasks in the most time efficient manner possible. Moving is always a gut wrenching experience but Jadasa helped ease many of the difficulties we encountered along the way. My family and I have several properties rented out by Dexters for a number of years now. I also have properties with different management agents and can honestly say they have been one of the best. Special thanks to Natasha Benedik for all she has done for me over the years, and the rest of her team including Lydia Beesley, Rachel Sapurco and John Miller - very proactive in getting new tenants in, quick to reply to emails and help sort out flat maintenance. Dexters - Chris McCandlish - Outstanding Property Manager

We live in Australia and Dexters have been our managing agents since 1999. Our principal contact in the firm changed to Chris McCandlish, the Head of Property Management and I have nothing but praise for his work on our behalf. So much so in fact that, only half jokingly, I told him that if he ever fancied a move 'down under', I'd definitely employ him. He's frank in his advice, active in finding the right solutions for you and rigorous in execution. Given the distance between us and the limitations imposed by the time difference, communication is all important. Chris has again set a very high bar, he's even called me a couple of times when its either been very early or very late in the UK. In summary, I can't recall a better property manager that I've dealt with, here or in the UK, in over 24 years. Chris is outstanding and I unreservedly recommend his services. If he ever left Dexter's I'd go with him.

My experience with Dexters has been great. Since I moved in to a property, whenever I have a maintenance issue, Donalina Gargrupe/Property Manager is absolutely lovely and helpful. Most recently I had a boiler issue and Dona has been very helpful and diligent, since she got my first e-mail reporting the issue. She e-mailed and called me many times to keep me updated and kept in contact with the vendor until it was all sorted. So, a BIG thank you!

Christian Pengelly is the best ever

I am dealing with Dexters for 5 years now, and I was not happy with them like I am now because Christian Pengelly is the head of property management. He is the best property manager I have ever dealt with. He is keen to solve every problem/ concern in the quickest time he can. He even sends the required emails during the call which I explain the problem in it. If I have the choice, Christian is the manager who I hope deal with him always, not anyone else.

Can't thank Myra enough...

I have had a great experience with Dexters as my property management company, but I want to give a special mention to my property management consultant, Myra Mettam. I have been letting my property for nearly 5 years, and Myra has been my continued support during the time at my flat. Myra is fast acting, efficient, empathetic and a total delight to liaise with. Every time I have had an issue at my property (and there have been many as it is an old building: faulty boiler, blocked toilet, shower not working etc). Myra has been on hand to find a very quick solution, she really is a magic maker and I couldn't ask for more from her. Myra also often exceeds my expectations with her quick turnaround times and she is an excellent communicator. The Dexter's leadership team should feel very lucky to have her!

Natasha and her team contributed to a positive experience

Overall positive experience of using Dexters. Natasha and her team have been very good in managing the property.I have deducted 1-star due to inconsistencies between letting teams - One office forced us (renters) to pay 1 months worth of early-termination fees on the contract despite the rent going up considerably. I understand this is well within their rights but with another office I (Landlord) was told that Dexters would waive the fees for my outgoing tenant who was leaving with 1 month left on the contract so felt slightly cheated!

I hereby wish to edit my review with ''complete dissatisfaction'' of the experience I had with Dexters, As an estate agent myself for over 20 years, I found the methods and ethics used by Jamil in person and Dexters as a company totally unprofessional. We have been led to believe that our potential seller was a ''motivated seller'' from the beginning and turned out to be otherwise. We have made an offer of an asking price for the property in concern and conveyed our intention to proceed as cash buyers. However, it took us only 6 weeks after our offer was accepted to see the property for the 2nd time! It was rather kind of Jamil of Dexters and the seller to accommodate us! Not! The rest of the turning out events were; that we were the ones chasing Jamil about the current circumstances of the seller party and the constant stock-up response from Jamil was '' You have to wait''. Then we found the seller was in a chain, her buyer was on a chain and this chain was as long as the H2 link! Not only were our 4 months + wasted let alone the stress and additional finances that were spent on short-term accommodation and travel costs. Only then after sending a strongly-lettered complaint about our experience to Marlon, Jamil's supervisor explaining our circumstances of waiting almost 6 months, which will place us in a jeopardy to lose our mortgage offer and Jamil's response was '' But you mean you will not be able to extend your mortgage offer!'' since this was the last straw in our declining relationship with Jamil and Dexters. Hearing this comment and the audacity of his attitude was the breaking point for us. Yes Marlon has managed to turn things around to suggest our deadline date of completion on the 15th of September 2023 the day our mortgage offer would expire, however, it was too little too late and not only we lost all our desire for the property on offer and having to feel that we will be remunerating this particular seller who has been selfishly looking after their interest only. Since then we found a much more straightforward deal and moved into another property with no issues or hiccups. It was not certainly what we hoped but we are much more happier with our decision to pull out of the deal with Dexters after all! The most awful experience in our lives and I wouldn't wish it for anyone else to experience it. I would not recommend Dexters as an organization to anyone.
