I chose DW Smith in Hanham to sell my childhood home, where my parents had lived for nearly 67 years after they both passed away. It has not been an easy process emotionally but from the first visit of Dave Smith to value the house & whose local knowledge & friendly personality was a major decision in choosing the best Estate Agent to market the house to the processing of the sale I can honestly say all the staff especially Karen who has been the point of contact after accepting the offer on the house have been amazing. I certainly made the right decision in choosing a small independent Estate Agent!

Fantastic company to have worked with through selling our property. From the initial meeting with David through to Karen’s management of the process; they were a pleasure to deal with. Our sale had a few stumbling blocks, outside of our and DW Smiths control. These issues were managed by Karen with professionalism and persistent communication with all parties. We found some estate agents market themselves by claiming they have a professional photographer or make it ‘instagramable’ etc, it really is all spill. DW Smith made the process simple and understandable. David made some great recommendations with regards to the selling price and how they’d manage the viewings/offers process. He also, took some fantastic, bright, airy, wide angled pictures of each room/area, which we were very happy with. The walk around feature on their website was also a real plus. In a market with many estate agent options we could not recommend DW Smith highly enough. A super little family business with great knowledge of the housing market.

When it came to putting our house on the market, we already knew we would go with an Internet based agent and take care of the sale ourselves (we've had terrible past experiences with several agents) but we got DW Smith in for a valuation as a matter of course. Richard arrived and after making extremely nice comments about the house, totally changed our minds about how best to sell the property. Right from the off, Richard was honest, helpful and excellent to communicate with. We took his advice completely on how to market the house and how much for, and it paid off with a sale in less than a week. Try doing that with a 'do it yourself' agent! All the way through to completion the whole team were amazing and now we are just sad that we've moved out of Hanham and can't use them again in the future.
