real lack of service/ communication

awful, I have been trying to speak to someone from the sales team for months. they say the same script every time I call "this is lettings, leave your details and sales will call you back". They never do. I actually want to purchase a property, why wont they talk to me? I can see the property just sitting there and every time I ask if it's still available they say it is. But I never get further than that with them.

Sadly we had the task of selling our late sister's house in Brackenbury village. After talking to a number of other agents we chose Dexter's and we have no regrets. Sian Allison and her sales team threw themselves at the task of getting viewings and in a period of about three weeks we had over 30 viewings and a number of offers. Throughout Sian kept us in touch and gave us constant feedback. She could not have been more hardworking or professional. Once the sale had been agreed we were handed over to Avni Patel (Sales Support Manager) to progress the sale and bring it to its conclusion. The sale process was in fact very drawn out because of the incredible inefficiency of the Probate service which took 32 weeks to grant probate. But Avni was like a (very friendly ) but determined terrier. She liaised constantly with us, our buyer and the lawyers to move us on and ensure that things went as quickly as possible. She has the ideal qualities for the "chasing" role and played an essential and much appreciated part in getting the sale successfully concluded. We could not have done without her.

Can recommend!

Monika has been managing my flat for rent for the last year or so. She has always been friendly, responsive and proactive, communicated regularly by email and by phone and I have been able to feel the flat is in good hands. Recently we've had some issues with damage coming from the flat above and she has gone the extra mile to chase the managers of that property so that the damage can be repaired. I'm very grateful to her!

Unfortunately I had a leak at my flat which I let out through Dexters. Monika has been incredibly efficient in resolving this - chasing the managing agent to find the cause of the leak, following up and arranging for it to be fixed and then looking into redecoration which needs to be claimed on the buildings insurance, as well as liaising with and reassuring the tenant and keeping me informed. She has been a pleasure to deal with and I am really impressed by her efficiency, reliability and tenacity.

Recently I had an issue with an appliance at one of my rented properties, Nabil Subhani dealt with back and forth between his maintenance team, the tenant, the insurance company and directly with me. In all the time. Dealing with the matter, Nabil was responsive to all matters in an extremely efficient and timely way. His communication was clear and to the point and the matter was progressed efficiently despite the fact that that too many people were involved he stayed at the centre of communicating with all parties concerned.

Very sloppy service from Dexters

Very sloppy service from Dexters. Missing attachments to emails, forgetting to send information, incorrect information was sent.At check-in, they didn't even give us the right keys.... Sloppiness was a constant through the process....The house was very very dirty, despite it should have been professionally cleaned by contract. There was mold, dust, dead insects.... Lots of furniture was broken or not fixed. We are not sure if the landlords were informed at all at this point.Another red flag is that the agents try to lock tenants in very long contracts, a new trend with many companies. They didn't pressure as much as others, but still, they create this constant sense of urgency for the tenants.... then they disappear for days and need constant follow-ups.Do not recommend.

Proactive communication and empathy

Proactive communication, empathy and transparency are three core values I have seen demonstrated at Dexters. I have rented a home through them for nearly two years, and they have stood out as property managers that actually care. Most recently, Daragh Power has impressed me with their kindness and genuine care. I had two requests of the landlord, one that would require a change to my contact, and Daragh was AMAZING at listening to my needs, understanding the time sensitivity and following up with the landlord when we didn’t receive a response right away. They could have deprioritised my concerns or have gotten upset with my persistence but instead they understood where I was coming from and really advocated for me. This is exactly what one would want from a property manager, but is something I find is rare, especially in a ‘landlord market.’ Daragh communicated professionally throughout and made the entire process stress free. I wouldn’t choose another property manager besides Dexters.
