I have two flats in Surbiton which are rented out. New management took over during the year. I am pleased to say that Niema Latif, as part of the new mangement team, handled the changeover well and was responsible for the successful renewal of both tenancies with increased rents based on RPI increases. Niema gave me confidence in her ability and quick response to all emails and requests.

Positive experience

I found the individuals professional, courteous and efficient. In particular, Jack was quick to view the property, understood up to the minute market conditions and offered a useful appraisal and plan for let. Over to Charlie, he is a fine negotiator, highly responsive, a "get it done" positive and effective communicator. Chestertons have fine representatives and assets in these particular representatives.

Renting with Chesterton's has been the most stressful, dishonest, greedy soul-sucking housing experience of my life. They have been extremely uncooperative and maintained fraudulent stances in order to line their pockets despite being presented with extremely clear cut evidence. They have consistently refused to respond to communications, and have ignored official complaints made to their customer service department. I truly have nothing kind to say about this experience and hope somebody reads this and saves themselves a few years of stress and several grand in rent. Take your business elsewhere.edit: a week later and still no responses despite following up with numerous people. disappointed, but not surprised.

Attentive and Effective

My property manager Vanessa (Battersea) has been very attentive, quick to respond to queries and take action on my behalf. There have been a couple of occasions over the last couple of years where things have not moved as quickly as my tenants or I would have liked, but since Vanessa took over it has been smooth. I would also add that some of the fees are a little steep, but I understand that this is the business model.

I have been with Chestertons for over 2 years now. I must admit that the initial experience was quite disappointing given that our property manager was unresponsive and not keen to help.
