I rented my property in Hamilton through Slater Hogg and Howison Hamilton and my contact throughout was Kirsty and I could not have asked for a better contact. She kept me up to date with things going on throughout the pandemic, any queries she dealt with efficiently and once I moved in we kept in contact when I had a query or she was checking things were running smoothly. I have used Slater Hogg & Howison in Hamilton for a number of years. I must say that the letting side has always been helpful and my first shout would go to Kirstie who has always been supportive regarding any issues that I have had over the years regardless if it was her job to resolve or not, likewise all the other letting staff. Over the years I have found the repair side a bit lacking at times which is carried out from Countrywide in Glasgow. However, last year they brought in Darren McAra and there has been vast improvements which I am happy about.PositiveProfessionalism

I was a first time landlord and Kirstie McKinnon was truly an angel assisting with the letting of the property and answering any of my sometimes silly questions. Called for a viewing at 11:30 and no one literally attended. People said the agent went away. (What was the point here? wasting someone's time). Wasn't even informed regarding this. Later recieved an apology as expected. Never gonna use this.

Having just bought my second flat, I had no hesitation in handing the keys to Slater Hogg & Howison to manage the tenancy. This is mainly down to Kirstie who has managed my first flat for years. I have never gone any longer than a couple of weeks without a tenant. Kirstie has amazing relationship building skills and I honestly couldn’t wish for a better service. Awful service from this estate agency if you are a potential tenant. After leaving my details to book a viewing for a property listed as available immediately, I was told someone would get back to me as soon as possible as they surprisingly did not have the keys yet. Twice they provide me with no professional service at all. The first time I naively thought that maybe there were too many demands for the same flat so I just moved on even if I was asked silly details and questions that have nothing to do with rental conditions like "how long have you been living in the country for" even if I previously mentioned CLEARLY that my husband is Scottish, he's working full time, also we're not housing benefits reliant and so on. The second time, my husband called to book a viewing but for some reasons they phoned him back as they couldn't remember which property he was interested in so as he couldn't answer the phone at work, I phoned them back to give the right informations. The person on the phone recognized my strong French accent and told me that they already have my details and they would get back to us as soon as possible.. With no surprise, they did not. Never again. I don't want to play the victim card, discriminated and everything but I am really disappointed because of the lack of professionalism..

Poor customer service trying to arrange a viewing for a property with promises of callbacks to arrange dates and times, called 3 times regarding arranging a viewing for the same property and never got anywhere. Everytime I called to arrange a date,I was told they would arrange a callback for me to schedule a day for me to come and view the property, no callbacks ever happened Never experienced a company that was so uninterested in getting potential tenants for a property Will not be using again and would not recommend

Unresponsive and dismissive in my attempts to view a property. Did not return my calls about said property. Took multiple attempts to arrange a time that suited them even although the house was unoccupied. When we eventually succeeded in obtaining a viewing. The agent carrying out the viewing was uninterested and unable to tell us anything about the property. This continued even on the second viewing that we had. Have also had experience with Slater Hogg as a tenant. Although they eventually responded to any issues reported - only the bare minimum was ever fixed. The landlord never being held accountable.
