I tried to sell my house through Slater Hogg of Hamilton, Scotland. The experience was terrible with the result that I had to kick them off as a letting agent. A good decision as the new agents managed to secure me 20% better property price than what was offered by Slater Hoggs. I found them to lack in integrity a d professionalism. A couple of buyers (who pretended to be) seemed not even have the affordability to purchase the property. Everything appeared to be an act to show that they had clients with them for viewing. Our property is in an estate where houses gets bid and sold within two weeks. And Slater Hogg could not get a meaningful offer in 12 weeks! Once I showed the door, Slater Hogg and their principals, Countrywide started sending annoying emails and threatening letters. It was an absolute nuisance! Within 1 week of reassigning the engagement to another company (and removing Slater Hogg), our house was sold at a price 20% higher. That was the clear proof for us about the poor skills and integrity of Slater Hogg!
