I had a very disappointing experience with this company. I won a bid believing I could collect the item from London, as their website states they have a London branch. However, after contacting them, I was told I had to arrange everything from Halifax instead. I explained the situation and requested to cancel the bid, but I was told I still had to pay the invoice. They then offered delivery through a courier they recommended. I was initially told the item would be delivered over the weekend, nothing arrived. After chasing, I was told Wednesday, again, nothing. Then I was promised delivery on Saturday between 11am and 2pm. By 2pm, no delivery and no communication. When I tried calling, no one answered. I then contacted the courier they suggested, who informed me he had no idea about the delivery and that the dedicated courier line was switched off. Overall, this was extremely unprofessional, misleading, and stressful. Communication was poor throughout, and deadlines were repeatedly missed with no accountability. I would strongly advise others to be cautious before using this company, I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the same experience.

My experience with Walker Singleton has been extremely disappointing. I discovered there was a gas meter in my unit that I had never been told about. Walker Singleton arranged to have it removed, but I was then informed there were around six years' worth of standing charges associated with it. I believe this situation should have been identified and dealt with long before it became my problem.

Please avoid this company due to suspicious activity

Please avoid this company. I requested an exit from the contract due to being double billed. They did not set up a proper payment system and then tried to claim i had not paid rent for an office when i had. I have full evidence of this and confronted them. One invoice was clearly marked paid and they requested i paid again. I suspected fraudulent activity and threatened to involve the police.

I purchased furniture from Walker…

I purchased furniture from Walker Singleton’s online auction. When viewing it in person, the item had significant damage not shown in the listing. I also witnessed more damage being done in person. Despite providing photo evidence, they refused a refund and threatened to charge me for storage. I’ve since had to take legal action. I’d advise anyone considering bidding to view in person and exercise caution.

This was the first house I have sold but what a Fantastic service provided by Lisa and her colleagues from start to finish. Whilst looking to appoint an Estate Agent, Lisa at Walker Singletons was the only estate agent locally that took the time to discuss the process in detail and dedicated time to answer the fair few questions I had. At no point did I feel rushed or feel that I was inconveniencing her. Throughout the sales process, Lisa and her colleagues returned my calls quickly, kept me updated on a regular basis, and chased up the solicitors on behalf of myself and the buyer. I can not praise them enough and I am so grateful for all their help and advice. I would definitely recommend them and I won’t even consider using anyone else if and when I decide to sell again. Absolutely fantastic and I can’t fault them in any way.

Having decided to sell our house, the next step was to find the right estate agent. We approached Walker Singleton as we had used them before, albeit many years ago. Once again, we were not disappointed. Right from the initial discussion and valuation through to completion, we felt we had their full support. Following the speedy turnaround of the brochure (complete with very professional photographs), the house was on sale in just a matter of days. We had numerous viewings booked on the first day of sale, received at least two acceptable offers and had sold, all within the space of 24 hours. Once the sale had been agreed, Lisa then took over the sales process, keeping us informed at all stages, providing regular updates, guidance and support and liaising with our buyer and the solicitors, so that we were always fully in the picture. The process overall was very smooth and we completed the sale without any major issues. We would definitely recommend Walker Singleton in Queensbury. The process of selling a house can be a daunting time, but with the right support and expertise, the process becomes far less stressful, leaving the seller free to concentrate on the myriad of other activities that come with moving. Finally, we’d like to say a big thank you to Lisa, Megan, Adam and all the team at Walker Singleton for all their help and support.

Highly unprofessional, not fair, incompetent and customer service is very poor. I have used the company on a few occasions and I have always been let down by the service I have received. A few months ago I put in an offer to purchase a building. They told me to provide them with evidence of the funds which I did straight away. After that, I was told that my offer was the highest and it had been sent to the customer for their approval. I regularly called them to check an update and I was always told that the seller hadn't replied. I have been waiting for five months and a few days ago I called the phone was answered by a new staff member who checked and told me that my offer was never sent to the customer and the building has been sold. I spoke to the person who was dealing with me who told me there was some misunderstanding. He told me to send the evidence again which I did and after a few days, I was told it had been rejected. I am sure it was just a drama to avoid a complaint.

Absolutely Clueless

Absolutely clueless and have no interest in their clients or potential clients. It took 4 phone calls and 4 emails to get the person dealing with one of their commercial properties, Fortune Nguwo, to actually make an appointment for us to view in the first place. He advised us at the appointment that the commercial let we were looking for could be completed within 7-14 days. We submitted our application and requested information the day after our appointment. We received no response from FN or any of his colleagues. We chased up our application on a number of occasions. We eventually got through to him and was told our application had been declined as our company was "insolvent" as it had a mortgage of £115k and a bank balance of £20k. The clueless employee of Walker Singleton had failed to take into account that the mortgage was on a property asset worth over £250k and therefore wasn't insolvent. When pointed out to him that you dont have a mortgage without having an asset mortgaged, he was having none of it. Absolutely clueless. Since the appointment we have found a property with another company, passed the credit checjs, signed our lease and moved in. Unsurprisingly, the property Walker Singleton is advertising is still vacant.
