The Ryder & Dutton Estate Agents team at Rochdale branch were excellent and I was very satisfied overall with how they handled my late father’s house sale, all the staff (Tom Prince, Lauren Coomber, Nicole O’Brien, Naveen Naheed, Lois Snape, and not forgetting the first point of contact who gave us the very accurate valuation the knowledgeable Kris Street ,I was also impressed with how the move manager Jenny Boyle kept me updated throughout the process from start to completion.Lastly I’d like to mention anyone looking for a local solicitor firm should definitely try JBHS Solicitors (The Old Parsonage,2 St. Mary’s Gate,Rochdale) the solicitor Fleur Everett who was dealing with my affairs handled all the conveyancing, probate and other issues I had in her stride quickly and professionally, also her new trainee Sania was great too, her fellow partner and solicitor Sarah Milner was fantastic she has a great depth of knowledge and they make a good team, I always found the receptionists warm and welcoming especially the receptionists Georgia who was very polite and helpful.I also found them very competitively priced which was a bonus and they were cheaper compared to other local firms.I hope this review helps someone else who is looking for a good estate agent and a quality solicitors firm !Thanks again Ryder & Dutton & JBHS Solicitors it was a pleasure !! ✍🏽 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 💫

I cannot rate Ryder & Dutton highly enough. We want to say a huge thank you to the wonderful Zoe! This is the professionalism you always want but rarely get. Zoe was faultless from the very beginning keeping in touch with every step of the way. She had us viewings lined up before the post went live, and we had two offers within the first weeks. Zoe completely understood very difficult circumstances and made selling our home a breeze. Zoe’s communication was prompt and always very helpful. Selling a property can be one of the most challenging and stressful of life events. However It proved to be a real pleasure dealing with Jenna Henley and her team at the Heywood office when selling our property. They were honest from the start as to how long the process might take so when we eventually sold the property and then completed we were kept in the loop at all times. Could not fail to recommend them too highly for their excellent service.

I was given a really short notice from my landlord to move out by October 1st. I was very devastated considering how difficult it is to rent an apartment nowadays. I found Ryder and Dutton online and went to view some of their properties then I met Emma when I went to view the property in Middleton, I explained my situation to her and she promised to be of assistance the best way she can. After all the necessary checks the landlord agreed to lease the property to me and I was able to move in just right in time. Thanks to Racheal Hilton and Emma for your support to make this happen

This included having to organise for the existing tenancy to be placed on notice about the sale. Our experience with Ryder & Dutton has been quite disappointing from the start. Trying to schedule an appointment to view a property was extremely difficult, and communication with the team was frustrating. The first time we called to arrange a viewing, they asked when we were available. I gave two dates, but neither worked for them. Instead of offering alternative dates, there was silence on the other end, no suggestions, no effort to accommodate us. The conversation felt awkward, with me asking all the questions, and it was so unhelpful that I ended up hanging up promptly.However, I eventually called back a few days later, and this time I spoke to a lady (Rachel, I think) who was much better. She was very professional and accommodating, making the process smoother. I also dealt with another lady, Lois (I believe), who was great to deal with as well. Both were a noticeable improvement in terms of customer service compared to the initial experience.The first property we managed to view was guided by a gentleman who was far from professional. He didn’t offer any guidance throughout the viewing and was generally unfriendly, leaving us with a poor first impression.On another occasion, we were shown a property by a young lady who was clearly inexperienced. She seemed to know very little about the property, and it was obvious she wasn’t prepared to conduct the viewing alone. It made the experience awkward and uninformative.When we made an offer on a house, I called for feedback, and the person handling my offer was uninterested and fobbed me off onto another colleague. It felt like they couldn't be bothered to engage with the process. I made two separate offers on this property, clearly showing my interest, and was ready to make a final offer of a few thousand below asking price. However, due to the lack of professionalism and how everything was handled, I ultimately decided to step away from the deal. Throughout this, we were left constantly chasing for updates, with little initiative shown on their part.It seems like Ryder & Dutton have a lot of local properties on their books but simply don’t have enough staff to service them properly. Given the poor communication and lack of professionalism, we chose not to list our property with them. This was further cemented by their high fees, which are among the most expensive in the area, yet the service we received was far from premium.We expected a more professional and knowledgeable service, but unfortunately, Ryder & Dutton fell short at nearly every stage.
