GoogleI called to arrange a viewing on a flat that Stirling Ackroyd (Shoreditch branch)advertised. I got to speak to a guy called Harry, when asking to arrange a viewing he kept on trying to hard sell other flats and told me to have a look at other flats he emailed me. I called back again to get a viewing, he said they are closing at 6pm but agreed to do 6:15pm a few days later- no confirmation email send and guess what, Harry didn't show up for the viewing! I called back following day and got to speak to a Nat, no excuse regarding Harry's no show! He rearranged the viewing, send a confirmation email and called on the day to confirm but guess what he cancelled last minute due to the current tenants having to isolate due to Covid but "conveniently" he had another flat that I could have a look at that was available immediately. I said no thanks and for him to rearrange when the tenants are ready, he didn't and now the flat is under offer on their website even though the tenants were isolating and no one should have been able to have a look at the flat! This is such an unprofessional agency and reading other reviews it's no agency I would ever want to give my money to or contribute to the the sleezy, unprofessional salesmens commission!

GoogleAfter a lifetime of dealing with agents (both as landlord and as tenant) I feel I should comment on the superlatively efficient, responsive and helpful service which my daughter and I received from SARAH M while renting a flat in Hackney. My situation as guarantor (but having various retirement pensions, rather than a salary), could have complicated the referencing process, but Sarah stayed on top of everything to ensure that problems were avoided. GoogleWe have dealt with SA twice now to buy and sell the same property. The sales team are professional, they bring in lots of people to view, either from requests or showing as an example. Never pushy, polite and give potential purchasers space. The team went beyond what you could expect on both occasions, really chasing when the situation was just getting mired. They chased managing agents, solicitors, lenders, and suggested many solutions to get things moving again. They are knowledgeable about the area and the market. Always accessible and easy to deal with. Highly recommended.PositiveProfessionalism

GoogleWriting as a landlord letting my property for the first time I was impressed from the first with the helpful and attentive way in which Kristians and his colleagues guided me through the process and drove the letting forward in a challenging market to a very satisfactory conclusion. He made sure that both tenants and landlord were kept informed and supported in progressing the letting promptly and efficiently. Initially I was tempted by the lower fees potentially available from other agents but I now feel Stirling Aykroyd and Kristians have earned their pay and I'm very happy I went with them. We chose Stirling because they seemed competitively priced, about 2% cheaper than other agents, but it was a big mistake. They collected rent in advance, only passed on about 55% to us. They even took commission upfront for rent not yet invoiced.

GoogleI bought a flat in Shoreditch through Stirling Ackroyd. Matt Powell was my negotiator, I found him really excellent. He always responded immediately to any emails or calls, he was always ahead of the loop regarding what was going on and was very patient and proactive when we had problems with the vendors' rather hapless solicitors. I'll be using Stirling Ackroyd to let my property. I would certainly recommend them and in particular Matt.

I have been very happy with Emily from the start and especially overseeing the problems which have arisen from a accidental fire in the flat next door. I am disgusted by the way I am being treated by SA. I rented a property which was mould infested, had to end my contract as despite raising the issue with the property’s manager, the landlord refused to fix the issue. No communication by SA. One month after vacating the property I have not received my deposit back. They did not email me important documentation as their system was down. I have to chase them to get updates as they do not email me or call me to update me. I’m being treated with constant contempt and disrespect for my dignity. These people are rogues. Avoid renting from them. I have complained, spoken to managers, emailed, called and nothing. Close to 4K on owed monies.
