Rentahome is staffed by extremely friendly, helpful and considerate people who have always worked with me to resolve any issues around my tenancy and/or household. They have always been professional and curteous, but more than that actually genuinely friendly and helpful. If you are looking at one of their properties, be assured that you will be respected as a person, your communications will be pleasant and professional, and that they will attempt to resolve any reasonable request. I would not hesitate to recommend them, or indeed to use them again if I were looking in the areas they cover - can't recommend highly enough.

I was very pleased with the service provided. Gentelman was called Oljay and he was very proffesional and knew what he was talking about. I would defo recommend Rent A Home to all friends and family. Staff provided Excellent customer service and made us feel very comfortable. We have moved in now and are very pleased with our new home. Everything was hassel free and lawfully done. I was a tenant at Rent-A-Home for almost a year. The staffs, especially Pablo, has been very professional and provided excellent services. Correspondence via emails has always been done in a timely manner while any issues concerning repairs/maintainance of the property, when flagged, are quickly acted upon. All in all, I have had a really good experience with Rent-A-Home and would definitely recommend their services to friends and family.

We *almost rented from this agency. We toured a flat and expressed our immediate interest and were told we would receive an email with the information for how to put a holding deposit on the flat (which would secure the property) and additional documents needed. Truly not a minute after receiving the email we sent the deposit and the agent thanked us. We sent the other necessary documents about two hours later. They said thanks again, that there was nothing else to be done and they would message us when they checked our documents. We reached out again after a few days and again they said no worries we would hear from them in a day or two. Then we received an email that our “application” had been rejected after they received two holding deposits apparently at the “same time” (really??? To the minute???). They said our documents had no issues and were approved but that management chose the other application. Perhaps this was all true but then surely you would have the decency to tell us that we were actually applicants and not tenants that has secured the property pending document checks?! They apologised and said we would receive the deposit back within 12 hours. And that was a week ago. No money has come through yet. Makes me think the whole thing was not only an unprofessional mistake but an outright scam. We plan to take them to court if they don’t pay us back and I hope this review lets them know to take us seriously. Shame on you for behaving this way in a housing/economic crisis.

Initially helpful although unwilling to allow you to leave at the break clause on the tenancy. Slow replies about returning deposit and high cleaning fees with unofficial invoices. Property initially was in debt with the electricity and was only refunded at the end of the tenancy despite multiple emails during the tenancy. The property wasn't cleaned well prior to the start of the tenancy or fully cleared of the previous tenants belongings.

The worst agent in N16 by far. They kept mine and a friends deposit for over a year after we moved out of one of their rental properties in Stokey. Mehmet acted completely unprofessionally throughout the whole process and consistently blamed the landlord for running off with our money. Only after my friend and I tracked down the landlord did we find out that it was Mehmet who had taken our money (over £1,000). Needless to say that once we threatened to take Rent-a-Home to small claims court did they return our deposit (12 months after we moved out). Steer clear if you can.

I found their communication unprofessional at times. Often slow to respond to email requests. Ignored emails asking about returning my deposit weeks after I had moved out, and only acted on it after several polite requests and after suggesting that I would be following consumer legal guidance posted online.
