I had the pleasure of working with Michael and Eddie on a property. Michael initially took my call and was friendly, responsive, and got me in to see a rental I saw on Right Move immediately. I met Eddie at the property. Michael gave me a good description of him. He was young, eager and helpful. He obviously cared about doing a good job which he did in spades! He was thorough, Followed up with questions properly, and was very professional. Anything he didn’t know the answer to, he got back to me very quickly after consulting with senior staff. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Hydegate estates and work with Eddie or Michael in the future. Thanks!

Hydegate Estates have managed the letting of my property with high levels of professionalism for 2 years. Their services are well priced, their maintenance teams have kept the property in a good state of repair, and I've always felt informed of any concerns or issues. Importantly they have also offered excellent customer service to my tenant, which makes a landlords life significantly easier. In particular, dealing with Michael Barrett (Lettings Mgr) has been a great experience. He's highly personable, incredibly knowledgeable, and has a been a fantastic asset to me throughout. I'd highly recommend both Michael and Hydegate Estates.

I did a online enquire through the right move website regarding a house which is up and let by Hydegate, I have heard nothing back at all and I know they got the enquirey as I had email confirmation. My fiancé called up about the same property to be told it had already gone however is still active on right move, he was informed that Hydegate had another property coming up shortly and they would send the details over, my fiancé made it clear we are looking for a 3 bedroom, by the afternoon we hadn’t heard nothing so had to chase to get the information, when it was sent over the house which is becoming available is only a 2 bed, my fiancé replied back via email and we have heard nothing on return. Extremely unprofessional service and we certainly won’t be looking to rent via this estate agent going forward! It seems like they just want your money!

I made an enquiry about a rental property. Initially the staff were very friendly and helpful but that only lasted until I informed them that I wouldn't be able to take up the lease due to the timescale the landlady wanted. Since then their eagerness to help has completely vanished (despite being registered on their prospective tenancy list) which only leads to the perception that they aren’t really genuine when it comes to finding the right property for renters. Perhaps for them it is just about the money. Thankfully we aren’t short of letting agents in Amersham - though decent ones are hard to come by. Sadly, despite their claims to the contrary, Hydegate are not one of them.
