TrustpilotHunters -Ealing
Hunters -Ealing Friendly professional, I can’t thank Steve enough. The time, energy and commitment, he was the bridge between both my solicitor and the buyers and was 100% committed. Everything went through Smoove and this was due to Steve and Hunters-Ealing. I have recommended them to other sellers and they will be always highly recommended by me

TrustpilotLast year in November i sold my house…
Last year in November i sold my house with Hunters. Due to reasons beyond my control the sale process was not as easy as anticipated however the reassurance and professionalism from hunters where outstanding. I went with hunters theough word or mouth and i have already recommended Hunters to friends who i know are selling or thinking of selling their property. They are an amazing team and so friendly. Thankyou ladies for making a difficult situation so bareable. We got there in the end.

TrustpilotJust don't use this Estate Agent
Just don't use this Estate Agent. And really don't use them to do an Inventory. They made so many errors we had to almost redo it ourselves. They missed the Fridge Freezer. Washing machine and Dishwasher in the Kitchen. They said there was a white wooden wardrobe in the bathroom, there isn't I could go on and on. I have asked for a refund but of course not heard anything!

TrustpilotTheir inefficiency made me lose a living place
This is how I kept urging the agent to follow up & how their inefficiency made me lost a living place in Sep.I viewed the flat on 4th Aug and paid holding deposit on the same date. My offer was accepted on 7th Aug. When Hunters and Homelet spend more than one month for my reference check and preparation of lodger agreement, I kept asking them when I can sign the contract and so I can transfer 6 month upfront rent and deposit. On 7th Aug, I tried to enter my details of reference check on the same date. However, the system had bug. Hunters staff helped me enter the details with their internal systems in the following day, although there are some typo of my job and address reference.Perhaps because of the miscommunications among 2 parties, Homelet refused to do reference check for me as they have not yet got the approval from Hunters. With numerous e mail I requested Hunters to fix it, Homelet started sending e mails to my manager and current landlord for reference check on 15th Aug.On 17th Aug, Hunters staff asked me to pay 6-month upfront rent and deposit by e mail without sending me the lodger agreement. I promised them to make the payment when they send me the contract and contract is signed. On 25th Aug, I received the lodger agreement finally after several requests. I raised some questions in the e mail in order to shorten the time for them to answer me during our future meeting of contract signing. On 6th Sep, another Hunters staff invited me to go to their office and sign the contract on the following day. I gave her my questions again for her better preparation. On 7th Sep, that staff said meeting date had to be changed. She answered my questions very briefly. Perhaps she is not familiar with the letting issues of the flat, I simply said I will ask others when I move in. I tried to ask when we meet and sign the contract. She did not reply. On 8th Sep, another Hunters staff told me that the landlord decided to accept another offer. The studio is no longer available in the market. He asked me to state my bank details and they will refund the holding deposit. I once thought the landlord must keep bidding for a higher rental price.I must move out before 23rd Sep as official move out notice was given to the current landlord. During resume of finding rental place, I found the flat in Zoopla again with rental price unchanged.Later I found the staff of the landlord and told the landlord what’s really happening. The landlord felt so sorry & decided to give me viewings of 3 other studios. However, the size and location do not suit my need.

GoogleWouldn’t recommend renting through Hunters. We had several maintenance issues with our flat (including a flooded floor) which were not resolved for several months after many phone calls and emails. We did receive a discount from our rent for this period but it required daily chasing. We had to visit the office 3 times in person to receive our bond back only to find they had paid it to a random bank account. High staff turnover and poor property management.

Dear Saskia,
Thank you for your feedback. We cannot authorise any maintenance works without landlord's approval. The landlord was claiming this off the building insurance which caused the delay in the remedial works.
Please contact us so that we can look into this for you. Thank you

GoogleAppalling (borderline fraudulent) service from Hunters Stoke Newington. I have been a tenant for over 3 years, they unlawfully held our deposit for more than 7 weeks and did not answer our many calls/emails, they have also been breaching the terms of the tenancy deposit scheme by withholding more funds than specified in our contract.
I would not recommend Hunters Stoke Newington branch.

GoogleLettings: Incompetent from start to finish, avoid at all costs.
I don't usually write reviews but felt so strongly about how bad Hunters are as a letting agent that wanted to share our experience to help warn others. My wife and I are landlords ourselves but had to move into rented accommodation for a short period of time. We would be ashamed if our tenants were treated the way we were by Hunters.
A brief summary of our issues are below:
- Entered our property without permission - tried on another occasion and we only found out as we were in
- Failed to provide a valid gas safety certificate
- Needed to be chased multiple times to send a plumber to fix central heating when it was 2 degrees Celsius outside
- When 'plumber' did arrive, he had no tools and asked to borrow a knife to repair boiler. When he couldn't fix boiler with knife he then knocked on neighbours' door to ask to borrow some tools
- Took 8 weeks to fit a blind after being chased multiple times. Continually changed the time slot for when blind would be fitted. Eventually work was completed late on a Saturday night
- Claimed property had been cleaned to a professional standard at check in when it had not
- Misled about irrelevant clauses on tenancy agreement not being able to be changed / deleted - they eventually agreed to do this when we threatened to pull out of tenancy agreement
- Charged extortionate admin fees at sign-up and checkout fees at end for the privilege of the above service
The majority of our issues were only dealt with once we had tracked down and contacted the landlord directly.
As if to prove just how incompetent they are just one last time, Hunters also contacted me by phone today about fixing an issue with the property...10 days after we moved out.

Dear Mr Perkins, Firstly please let me apologise for what sounds like an absolutely awful experience. I can genuinely say that this is not our usual standard of service and in the 13 years that I have owned this business I have never had such a long list of complaints. Whilst I am both annoyed and obviously concerned at the experience you have had with our property management team, I am also very grateful for bringing this to my attention albeit through the review page. I can assure you that the complaints you have outlined will most certainly be investigated, addressed and steps will be taken to ensure this does not reoccur. I am quite sure that you would prefer to draw a line under this experience and move on, however, I would be much obliged if you would contact me directly in order to further investigate this unfortunate incident and also to offer you my sincerest apologies personally. You can contact me at the office on 020 7249 7499 or if you prefer via email at sam.sharif@hunters.com

GoogleASHLEY TURNER at the HACKNEY BRANCH is easily one of the most incompetent people I have dealt with professionally. She seems to have a deeply engrained lackadaisical approach to her work. She consistently does not reply to emails or phone messages. It took weeks of chasing her up to produce a simple contract which was then wrong and even longer chasing her up to get my damage deposit back requiring me threatening to complain to the Deposit Protection scheme.
If anyone at the branch wants to get in touch to discuss this, please do.

GoogleReally bad agency. They are rude on the phone and the guy in the letting department is not helpful at all. I have rented from other agencies and called so many to enquiry about properties but have never been treated like this. He even hang up on me. Wouldn't recommend even calling for a viewing if you are going to be treated just like they did with me on the phone. I understand they have to explain us their precedures but there is no need to get all arrogant and not even let me explain myself. I'm quite experienced in terms of renting from an agency and what procedures I have to go through. He was talking to me like if I was some sort of kid like I didn't understand. Really disappointed with their service. They should be trained to give a nice customer service.

Dear Yughiny,
We do not tolerate rude and abusive language towards a member of staff here at Hunters. You were asked simple questions as standard practise which you failed to answer and then got irritated. My colleague ended the call as you were not cooperating. Please contact us if you wish to discuss this further on hunters.managementstokenewington@hunters.com

GoogleI had a great experience with Shaheel and Alex at Hunters. I was recommended by a friend and I’m so glad I listened. They were both brilliant at getting back to me, giving me updates and advice. I was grateful as, I live in the West Country now and selling from afar made it more complicated. We had TWO BAD experience with other estate agents on Church St and I wish I went with Hunters from the beginning. We have now sold our property with Hunters and I’m so grateful to them for their commitment and hard work. I’ve already recommended them to my friend. Shaheel or Alex are the only estate agents I’ve come across who seem to be up front, reaslitic and honest. We appreciate all they have done for us. Thank you guys!!!

TrustpilotRude and unprofessional
I had a viewing arranged and nobody could give me a meeting point for a large apartment building with several entrances. Spent nearly 20 minutes at the location wondering around and trying to reach the person that was supposed to show me around, all calls declined. Office couldn’t get through to her either and when she finally calls me is to rudely tell me off for not showing up at a different entrance when she never told me where to go, speaking to me in an angry tone and then hanging up.

GoogleWe were very impressed with the level of service at Hunters. In particular our agent Alex Christodoulou was extremely professional, helpful and easy to work with. We had been looking for a house to rent for so long we had almost given up hope but Hunters made the experience much more enjoyable than any of the other estate agents we previously used- we highly recommend them!

GoogleAlex helped us with the sale of our flat. We were more than happy with the service and attention to detail from Alex, we felt as though we kept informed of all developments and Alex and Hunters were also able to recommend a good solicitor. We have had poor experiences previously with property agents in London but Hunters and Alex were a refreshing change!

TrustpilotWe have taken our flat off the market…
We have taken our flat off the market following 2 failures by the agents in Filey. All seemed well to start with, enthusiastic staff produced good pictures etc. We had a viewing, a few days later we had the good news that the lady was to purchase. 3 weeks later, we were informed that she was indeed NOT buying our flat, but another in our block, still not sure where the responsibility for this lies. The second occasion, we had a second viewing from a few months ago, so were really excited. 5 minutes after the appointment we were informed the gentleman didn't even have his property on the market !! Apparently, we should have stipulated we only wanted people who are in a position to proceed. Never have we heard such stupidity, thought agents sold properties !!??

TrustpilotElecting Not to Evict Violent Tenant which Assaulted Another Tenant with a Knife
I am compelled to write this review to express my deep concern and disappointment with the lack of action taken by Hunters in response to a serious safety incident within one of their managed properties.Recently, I was assaulted by one of their tenants who not only brandished a knife but also forcibly entered my apartment and injured my cat. This shocking and dangerous incident has left me and other residents in the building feeling vulnerable and fearful for our safety.Despite the severity of the situation, and their tenant pleading guilty to assaulting another tenant, the response from Hunters has been shockingly inadequate. Instead of promptly addressing the issue and taking steps to ensure the safety of all residents, the management has refused to evict the responsible tenant. This decision is not only a blatant disregard for the well-being of other residents but also a failure to uphold the basic standards of tenant safety and security. It is deeply disheartening to see a property management company neglect its responsibility to maintain a secure and peaceful living environment. The safety of tenants should be paramount, and it is unacceptable that Hunters is allowing such a threat to persist within the community.Prospective tenants, please be aware of the lack of security and prioritization of tenant safety at properties managed by Hunters. In the face of a serious security breach, the management's inaction speaks volumes about their commitment to the well-being of those who entrust them with their housing needs.I urge Hunters to reconsider their stance and take immediate action to ensure the safety and security of all residents in their managed properties.Michael Ryan

TrustpilotHad Hunters out to value my property…
Had Hunters out to value my property for sale but got really bad vibes from the valuer. Found them to be unprofessional so went with another agency (who were amazing)Unfortunately a property I liked was up with Hunters. Tried to negotiate a deal on the property but the communication through Hunters was not good. I don’t think it was the process rather the person handling it. When negotiating you would expect them to act as professional intermediaries however they were disinterested and as cold as a wet fish. I would have been better dealing directly with the homeowner and we may have been able to make a deal. I left my offer on the table but I have no idea if that was ever passed onto the homeowner. I’m sure there will be some great Hunters branches out there but I’ve not come across one yet. My heart sinks a bit now if I see a property up with Hunters. I just don’t want to deal with them ever for a purchase.Edit.We did end up buying a house through a Hunters branch. Although I did do the deal directly with the homeowner in the first instance we agreed on how to proceed and then we went to the agent. They were actually very good so I guess it’s pot luck which branch you use.

GooglePut my btl flat on the market in Sept 23 while occupied with tenants Islington, N.1. Hunters got the pricing spot on in a tricky market and I received offers over asking and accepted an offer within 2 weeks of putting it on the market. Hunters were brilliant at liaising with my tenants to arrange viewings, and throughout the sales process coordinated solicitors and pushed the sale through. Very efficient and would highly recommend them.

TrustpilotTotally disgusted
Totally disgusting practices. This company are selling a detached property next to my home. They say it’s impossible not to include a photograph of the full frontage of my house as well. I requested the photo be cropped or changed. For a few days I regained my privacy but again the original photo has returned and is all over the internet. They say they can’t show their clients garage without my house being in the picture. Absolute garbage as the garage is on the other side of the house being sold not next to my house!!! It’s obvious they are using my home to paint a picture of a nice residential road. It’s 100% possible to take a photo showing the house , driveway and garage of their clients property without including my home. Awful just awful.

GoogleThey seem to be good on the surface and quickly respond to very simple things. However, whenever it becomes a tiny bit more complicated - nothing is taken care of. We have a leaking pipe on the outside of our property for 8 months. We let them know about this in the first couple weeks of our tenancy. Over 8 (eight) months it's been back and forth, and NOTHING about this leak has been fixed. Every time someone takes a shower in the bathroom, we have a shower in our conservatory due to two sequential leaks (pipe and a roof). They do send the workers, true, but only when there is no rain. And these are new workers every time, who look at it, scratch their heads and do nothing.
You need to chase them every day, if you want to have anything done. They don't care about you, don't care about the property. The worst experience with the estate agents in my 12 years of renting.
