I’m not one to usually leave reviews however after dealing with Ellie Jennings from Foxtons Shoreditch it’s only right that I publicly share what a positive experience that I’ve had. Over the years I’ve had my fair share of dealing with estate agents and I’ve never come across someone with 50% of the diligence and care that Ellie showed throughout the entire rental process. From the beginning what set her apart is the genuine interest she took in our personal situation, taking the time to fully understand our requirements and needs and helping accordingly. She absolutely went above and beyond for us and is a huge asset to Foxtons. Thank you Ellie and Foxtons for all your help, we look forward to being long term tenants with you and would definetly recommend that anyone else in the area with housing needs reaches out. I have had a lovely experience with Foxtons Shoreditch, with much thanks to our estate agent Ellie Jennings. She truly went out of her way to help my partner and I find a flat that ticked all of our boxes, and finally put an end to a long and difficult search. She was very open and communicative from start to finish and was happy to answer all of our questions and continually call and update us. I worked with Rack and in one day, he found exactly what I was looking for. He was transparent, confident, comforting, and kind and definitely was helpful and guided me through the whole leading process. We recently bought a property through Foxtons, and although Niamh wasn’t our estate agent (she was acting on behalf of the sellers), we felt it was important to leave a review because of how brilliantly she supported us throughout the process. Right from the start, Niamh treated us with genuine respect and kindness. We come from a modest background and were simply trying to find a place to call home. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. Based on my experience, I would advise new landlords to be extremely cautious with Foxtons. The agent’s explanations of commission and contract terms were unclear, and I ended up in a lengthy dispute over unexpected fees. Which is escalated to ombudsman and will probaly go to the court. Never trust a word of Foxton's agents. Always insist on written communication and carefully review all documents before signing. I would not recommend Foxtons to others based on my experience.

By far the worst experience with any agent in selling our property. Total lack of communication, agent named Oliver is completely disorganised, shows up unannounced to the property, left it in a mess after dropping some plants we had and disnt even bother to clean. Needed to always chase for feedback and their only strategy to sell is to get you to keep dropping your price. Given my experience as a sellers I would definitely not recommend them at all.

I have actually taken the time to edit this a month after moving in. Whilst the process to help get us into the flat was proactive and helpful, since we’ve moved in we’ve been massively let down. So many promises haven’t been met, whether it be paint jobs, fixing electricals, however the most significant and upsetting problem I’ve found is how when viewing properties, my only real requirement was parking availability, to which I was told with this flat I’d be able to get a permit. It’s been a month later and this has proven to not be the case. If Foxtons could help solve this then I’d be very grateful, but at the moment it feels like something that was thrown about verbally to get us to sign without any real check done, which has massively detrimental effects to our work-life situation at the moment. The below (my original commentary) still follows. Frieda was absolutely excellent at helping us find our home, being extremely proactive and open during the entire process!
