Disappointing Unacceptable Service

I cannot recommend Gascoigne-Pees, Leatherhead branch, after six months I am convinced that they were the wrong choice to sell my property. I definitely did not feel valued. When I decided to end the Agency Agreement, on 28/11/2024, I was completely ignored. After two visits to the branch I managed to get an acknowledgement. However, on the second visit (19/12/2024), the Assistant Branch Manager, was completely unapologetic. In my opinion his manner was offensive, rude and unprofessional. I left the office feeling very upset and physically shaken.

I find it almost laughable how this letting agency behaves. When you’re signing a contract, they bend over backwards to act friendly and helpful, but the second you’re moving out, the entire façade collapses. Their true colors show, and suddenly you’re dealing with rudeness, attitude, and a complete lack of basic professionalism.

Farnham branch

This company in Farnham has let our property for many years. Unfortunately now they seem to be complacent and we have to chase them for property checks to be carried out as per our contact. Once they finally did the check we are still waiting 3 weeks later for their findings. Also we have rung them throughout the day and left messages in their phone but they never bother to ring us back. They seem to have lost interest and we are rapidly losing patience.We would not recommend this branch of the company.

Worst Experience Ever with Gascogne Pees Kingston Branch

I had the worst experience ever using Gascogne Pees to fully manage my property. They consistently chose the more expensive contractors who did not deliver good service and failed to honor warranties. After 4 years of their management, my property was in a dire state. I ended up spending over £20,000 on repairs and restoration. The staff, from lettings to property management, were unhelpful, rude and ineffective. Never again.

Liars with no sense of accountability

These estate agents downright lied to us before moving in about what came with the flat and throughout continued to lie about the interactions we had. Their complaints process is as useless as they are and I'm convinced is completely biased towards the estate agents.

Worst organised letting company

Worst organised letting company. I have several properties that I use letting agents to manage. By far, Gascoigne-Pees are the worst. They charge for everything despite me paying for full managed property they make additional charges for anything they do. They consistently fail to do anything that they say they will do. Their different departments don't communicate with each other. They give letting/estate agents a bad name.

Excellent estate agents. Instructed Gascoigne Pees (Worcester Park branch) on both a house purchase and house sale. The team went over and beyond throughout the whole process. They were adaptable re pricing given changes in housing market and also suggested local firms of solicitors to use. Great team, professional and personable. Would use them again and again.

Deposit: I rented an apartment for over 1.5 years (small studio flat), I got it dirty, including the tools left in it, the walls were unpainted, full of dust and paint smeared on door frames, doors, etc. I gave away the apartment, which was very clean and practically ready for rent. For this, my deposit was charged with enormous amounts that are far from reality. The cost of painting was £600, cleaning £180 etc. for a studio flat which was beautifully cleaned. Even on the report they could not distinguish the pink cube in the water in the toilet that cleans from the scale in the water from the scale in the water. I consider it extortion and fraud. Unprofessional team and lack of trust in this company including the deposit management company.

Unprofessional and pushy

Extremely unprofessional estate agency - south west London area. I literally felt harassed on the telephone to provide my email and phone number when I was only enquiring about a property, not even trying to view it. It was a man on the other end and he made me feel very uneasy. I will not be looking at properties with them ever since they would have my home address too. It's an appalling industry.

appalling and disgusting treatment for our property

We have a listing with this company who has been professional and friendly up to the point of customer visits to our property.We have a carpeted flat and both the agent and the customer did not remove their shoes when showing the flat. What makes me furious was that on the day of the visit it was raining and muddy and yet there was NO consideration shown in removing shoes to access the property.We complained to the branch manager Michael White who apologised and I've just had a 2nd visit from another customer and again NO SHOES removed on access and guess what's going on outside right now.Storm Ciaran.So if my property was going to receive 20 visits, what condition are my carpets going to be in after?Absolutely disgusting and appalling service, it is common courtesy to be considerate of another family's home and yet none was shown and not only that, after having already complained once already you neglect to follow up on it.Undecided yet what to do as I was unable to reach the branch manager.

Warning - avoid this company at all costs

Warning! Fraud! Avoid buying uniforms from this company - at all costs. The company would not refund me - for a product that they never confirmed was ordered, but for which I was charged (I tried to check out, and apparently it worked, although no confirmation was issued). I had to follow up three times asking for a refund, as they did not send the items. Only after I threatened to file a complaint did they take action.The customer service agent, Sarah, made up many stories - about the order being confirmed, about refunding me in 7-10 days, etc. She never apologized. Instead, she responded with excuse after excuse. I'm confident they will make up some stories in response to my complaint. ;) Can't wait to see what she says next! Another excuse!

This letting agent is shocking

This letting agent is shocking. Signed a 12 month contract but had to leave early. Our cars were targeted and my boyfriends had to be written off. Had issues with the flat, which were never sorted, despite me chasing numerous times. Now landlord is trying to charge me £975 for leaving early, when we almost had no choice but to leave. My car was being targeted very frequently. Spoke to a Lady on the phone from G and P and she was so rude. Made me feel like I was the problem.

Experience as a Landlord. AVOID!

Experience as a landlord. Not sure what has happened over the years at the Basingstoke office, it used to be okay. I used to let 4 properties with them, but have withdrawn all properties from last month as the service is awful. The staff seem to have a degree in extremely poor customer service, with the lack of communication being their speciality. Taking the one review here that relates to GP property sales aside, every review here is 1 star. Why does this not ring alarm bells with senior management? To top it all, I now have a tenant having trouble getting their deposit back (from 3rd party company appointed by GP), and GP are being less than helpful getting it returned.

Terrible experiance Saw property pre launchPut full asking offer in at the time then told its going online for a while No EPC given said they would forward once it was in they didnt!No follow up calls thereafter10 days later Phoned in to see how things doing & if they had the EPc! agent dealing with me was off for the day said he will call me in the morning.Didnt get a call till late next day afternoon saying sold to the other intrested party. (I only learnt there was one other by making my call)No pre call to see if l was Prepared to up my offer. Unprofessional and dishonest.

We called their office about a property advertised online. The woman who answered said the property was no longer available. This property has been advertised by them at least for a few weeks while at the same time actually not on the market any more. When we asked why still advertised the woman hunged up the call.
