FacebookAbsolutely shocked at the service when purchasing a house. Offer accepted, searches paid for, my house sold, land searches/ enquiries raised!!! Find out the house was valued by my mortgage company 24k less then what I bought for. The same day I was informed by Maslin they had a cash buyer on the system ready to contact, but as I said I was getting a different valuer with a different mortgage company they might honour the sale for a few days. Find out 2 working days later they had sold the house to someone else, cash buyer. I’d been very clear that I was waiting for a val from a second lender i had got a mortgage in principle with hopefully only a weeks wait as my mortgage advisor had spoken to them about this situation. I never even got a response from Maslins after they told me it was sold, they showed no empathy at all. I know these things happen but no compassion given and they weren’t bothered I’d lost money. I even received my
Paperwork from my solicitors re fitting, searches etc a few days later, dated after they told me it was sold!!! So they can’t have contacted them straight away. Hopefully this won’t have resulted in more money lost.
Only good thing from this was your lovely employee Sue who was very knowledgable and showed me the house on 2 occasions. So now I’m looking for another home, what a stressful experience...

Googleput in on offer on a property which was rejected. 6 weeks later was phoned up to say they had 'received a significantly higher offer' than what i had put in and would i be interested in increasing it.just looked on Zoopla. the property subsequently sold for nearly 10k less than my offer (7% of property value). Dirty tactics. stay away.
