   just now New Davis Tate have supported me both with the rental of my former family home and with a sale and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Bruce, who has managed the rental has been fantastic. He is incredibly responsive, proactive and super efficient. In fact, every one I've come into contact with in both the sales and rental team, including Brian, Sallie and Clare are committed, passionate, enthusiastic about what they do and work collaboratively to find the best solution for you. I'm incredibly grateful for Davis Tate's help. There's a lot to be said for working with supportive, approachable and professional individuals.

We rented out our property for several years while living overseas. Being in a very different time zone, it would have been difficult to interview prospective tenants and arrange maintenance ourselves, especially if emergencies such as pipe leaks or boiler failures arose, which they did! We also needed to make sure we complied with UK legislation regarding tenancies. Having previously had a good experience with the Sales side of Davis Tate in Goring, we decided to ask their Lettings team to find and vet tenants, handle rent, and manage property upkeep for us. For us, the fee for the full management service (a percentage of the monthly rent) was very much worth the expense, for the expertise, peace of mind, and speed of response they provided. We were particularly impressed by the knowledge and unflappable efficiency of Caty Johnston, Team Leader in the Renewals Department: thank you, Caty!

Had to contact James Elliot as MD directly but refusing to provide a written reply after 2 months since initial email to him and 3 months since complaint raised. See their Trustpilot rating of 56% 1-star

Poor at responding and will try and take as much deposit as possible

Be very careful in recording everything upon moving in. We took very good care of our property, flagging by email the state that we had inherited it but Davis and Tate took an age to correct anything and multiple chasers (re: evidence of rats, leaking drain pipes etc.). Upon moving out they tried to take £900 of our deposit. These featured charges like £5 for lampshades as they were in different rooms to where they were (note all the lampshades were still in the house). I'd steer well clear if possible.
