We recently sold our 1-bedroom flat through Jacob Steel, and Neil and his team at the West Worthing branch were exceptional from start to finish. After an initial comprehensive valuation with Neil, Amy took fantastic photos and wrote the particulars, making our flat look beautiful. Morgan and Jasmin conducted the viewings, always providing excellent feedback and communication. Our property was a leasehold flat, and the team really took the time to understand all the finer details to share with potential buyers. We faced a few hurdles along the way, including a collapsed chain and losing a buyer, but they found another within just four days. Despite challenges with solicitors and communication from other parties, Neil and Charlie were instrumental in navigating everything smoothly. They kept us and our buyers updated every step of the way, never gave up, and truly went the extra mile. I cannot recommend this team highly enough. Charlie Haines is simply the best Estate Agent I've ever had the pleasure dealing with. Charlie is very personable, professional, efficient, courteous and proactive. Initially Jacobs-Steel Goring is a great source of suitable / available properties with Charlie at the helm. Once offer made/accepted Charlie gives full support as he communicates well, follows up/chases replies and information as and when necessary whilst keeping tabs on what is happening at all times throughout conveyancing process until all brought to satisfactory conclusion. Amy is a genuine, beautiful, helpful soul. As soon as we met her to discuss the sale of our late fathers flat, we knew she was the one to sell it. The sales brochure was very good and the photographs excellent. I bought my first home through Jacobs Steel and had a very mixed experience with them. Initially I didn't have a great first impression of them. The first guy I spoke to on the phone couldn't get his head around the fact that I wanted to buy a flat and not a house and made me feel like I had to justify it to him whereas other estate agents at other companies that I spoke to understood this straight away and didn't question my preference at all. The viewing was really good and the agent who showed us around (Jasmine I believe) was really nice and knowledgeable. We contacted them to ask some questions which they answered very quickly. We made an offer on the property and we were then contacted to inform us that other people in a similar situation had also made similar offers so instead of us being able to bid for the property we were told we had to say our "last and final offer" and whoever made the highest offer would get the property. I had to make a very quick decision to offer over the asking price because we really desperately wanted this property and we had to wait to hear if we had won, which we did. I thought this way of making a last and final offer was an unfair way of doing this as we had no idea what anyone else was offering so we could have been paying way more than we needed to. I understand it's easier for the estate agent to save them going back and forth but even so it put pressure on us as buyers to make a quick decision. I also found I was constantly speaking to different people from Jacobs Steel and I never knew if I was speaking to someone new. They also tried to push their mortgage advisor eventhough I told them I already had one of my own. My opinion of Jacobs Steel improved a lot during the rest of the process. Jane was amazing, she helped to chase the Solicitors, she kept us updated about the chain and she kept in regular contact with us all throughout. On collecting the keys we got a couple of brownies and a card from the team. All in all a very mixed experience as a buyer and based on this if I was to sell my property if future I would think twice about using them

The Choice is yours but the evidence talks for itself. I can only tell you about our experience and it comes from a cautious place. Me and my wife both have visual disabilities which means we may miss a trick or two when viewing and choosing properties. Neil Simmons, Goring Road Branch Manager, did his best to learn our individual needs and act accordingly. He made us feel that we were the most important thing in our venture and juggled all situations that arose extremely well.
