I can’t recommend Chloe Satchell highly enough! Buying a home can be such a stressful and overwhelming process, but Chloe made the whole mortgage side of things feel so much easier. From the very beginning, Chloe was incredibly helpful, approachable and patient. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answer all of our questions and make sure we understood our options. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and she was always there when we needed advice or reassurance. What really stood out was how supportive and proactive Chloe was throughout the process. She kept everything moving, communicated with me regularly and made me feel like we were genuinely in safe hands. Having someone knowledgeable and reassuring by your side makes such a difference when you're making such a huge decision. My first contact with Sharman Quinney Estate Agents was with Layla Kidner and the first thing I noticed was how friendly Layla was and that she had a wealth of knowledge for such a young lady. Layla guided me through every step of my journey and kept me updated throughout from start to finish. We cannot recommend Layla Kidner highly enough! As a family relocating from Estonia to the UK for the first time, we had countless questions, and everything about renting a home here was completely new to us. landlords steer clear

I am a landlord with two properties they looked after. For 18 months. on one property I was never paid my rent on time. I was always chasing for my money. There is no one in the office. You always have to leave a message and they don’t get back to you even my tenants had trouble reporting faults to the property as I said there was no one there for them so I would never get the message. I have had property for over 20 years and I have never come across a managing agent as bad as these. That is why I only stayed with them for 18 months. It would’ve been 12 months but you have to give them six months notice. Again I’ve never heard of that. My advice to landlords steer clear.

Very pleased with the service we have received so far from Sharman Quinney in Godmanchester. From the day Harriet came over to value our property we received several viewings and an offer which we accepted within a week. Harriet was very professional and explained the different type of ways we could sell our property. We honestly felt they wanted to achieve the best possible price and were working in our best interests. Didn’t even need photos to be taken as it was so fast. We had a fantastic experience purchasing our property and couldn’t be happier with the support we received throughout the process. From start to finish, the team were incredibly friendly, helpful, and proactive. A special thank you to Madi and Aiden, who went above and beyond to help get our purchase completed, especially as we were working against a very tight deadline. There were moments where it looked like we might miss it, but their persistence and determination to keep everything moving with the solicitors ultimately made it happen in time. We were also extremely grateful to Junior, the mortgage advisor, whose recommendation for solicitors turned out to be excellent. Totally shambolic “service” from sharman quinney when dealing with the sale of our house. Particularly Ali Harris who is one of the worst ‘professionals’ we have dealt with in any capacity. We had several issues with Ali which she largely brushed off or ignored. So we raised formal complaint with her manager Chris Rowson who was equally hopeless. Initially Ali was dishonest about sales fees and after agreeing a price she sent us a contract to sign with much higher fees. We had to raise this as a complaint and refused to sign it. There was continuous dishonesty from Ali and others in branch in relation to people they were showing around our house - none were properly vetted and we were lied to about the position of several viewers. After viewings (which we were not allowed to be present for) our property was left unlocked numerous times, which we raised with Ali who yet again provided a useless response and failure to take responsibility for poor service. She would ignore emails and calls. After raising this with her several time we received a hilarious reply stating 'communication has improved' between Sharman Quinney and ourselves, this is hilariously ironic given the fact that both Ali and Harriet ignored our complaint emails for many weeks until I again had to chase this. After this, she then left the office for over 6 weeks without telling us - despite assuring us she was taking the lead on the sale of our property. I would like to also add that at one point, a viewing was arranged on our house. On the morning of the viewing we rang the office numerous times to arrange key drop off, no answer. We then attended the office to find it closed on a Saturday morning. We were ringing round different branches to eventually be told another agent in a different town was dealing with the viewing. Yet another example of poor communication from Sharman Quinney. In addition to this I would say there has been a general theme of poor communication, dishonesty and errors in our dealings with Sharman Quinney. Eventually we agreed a sale but due to sharman quinney failing to do due diligence this feel through resulting in loss of money time and effort. We eventually went with a different agent. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Ignored, Misled and Left Waiting Over 10 Months for Mould Repairs, 8 Months for Roof Repairs

My experience with Sharman Quinney Lettings has been one of the most stressful and unprofessional I’ve ever had as a tenant. Sharman Quinney knowingly let the property in a state of disrepair, with visible mould and a leaking roof, as confirmed by the independent check-in inventory at the start of my tenancy. Despite this, they took no proactive action to address it and left me waiting over 10 months for mould repairs. Emails show even the landlord admitted the mould was caused by the leaking roof, yet Sharman Quinney repeatedly delayed and gave contradictory explanations, at one point falsely claiming asbestos was present when the landlord had already confirmed there wasn’t. Appointments were missed or arranged without notice, and when I explained a proposed date didn’t work, Repairs Manager ignored my request and insisted it would go ahead anyway, despite my disability and stated need for email communication. When the repairs finally happened, they were unprofessional and unsafe, workers arrived without tools, used my personal broom to scrape mould, and left the area contaminated. My formal complaint about this was never logged, despite their policy requiring it. To make matters worse, Sharman Quinney later falsely claimed to be a “third party” uninvolved in repairs, which is demonstrably untrue. Multiple emails show their direct coordination of contractors and repair schedules. It’s extremely concerning that a manager would knowingly make such a false claim despite overwhelming written evidence. Even though clear evidence shows the property was let with a leaking roof and mould, they offered no apology or compensation, highlighting poor service and an inadequate complaints process. In short: • Property knowingly let with mould and a leaking roof. • 8 months waiting for repairs and 10 months for mould repairs • Health hazards ignored. • Appointments missed and communication poor. • Complaint unrecorded. • False denial of responsibility.

I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Tawnee. Right from the start, she was really accommodating with the viewings and helped with the offer and negotiation stage. Tawnee went over and above at every opportunity, particularly when we had difficulties with the seller's solicitors. I felt like Tawnee was doing the job of both parties and gave me all the reassurances I needed that the sale was still on track even when it didn't always feel like it. She chased and liaised with solicitors and the seller with the utmost professionalism, while still keeping me in the loop and really working on my behalf. She never made me feel like I was asking too much of her, and I was so grateful to have her at the end of the phone or email when I needed things to be sorted or clarity on the process (which at times was almost daily!). Without the issues on the seller's side we would have got the sale over the line in record time, mainly thanks the Tawnee. My solicitor and the council were both singing Tawnee's praises and she's a credit to the company. I would definitely recommend Sharman Quinney to anyone looking for sale/purchase (they always picked up the phone, and the rest of the office were great at passing on messages), and if they're lucky enough to get Tawnee then I have no doubt it will be as good as my own experience!

I have had two interactions with this company. I bought a property in 2018 marketed through them, and they failed to attend a valuation appointment in 2025. We have no ongoing business with them. Despite being told on multiple occasions to delete all of our personal information from their databases, both me and my wife continue to receive unwanted phone calls. Based on our 2018 experience, we would never consider chosing to contract with them, the valuation in 2025 was just a private joke.
