GoogleMartin & Co as a company have frankly been perfect. Hallam's deep founded knowledge of systems and huge experience have kept me informed every moment during the sales process. I trust both he and his wonderful team absolutely. Hallam was far more helpful than my solicitors too. There seems to be nothing he is not experienced at. I am also choosing to put the running/letting of my apartment in his hands when I am out of the UK. Total perfection!!

GoogleI had issues with my boiler leaking which then had to have a new part. Once it was fixed the heating wasn’t working when I got back from work Friday (panic stations). Being a Saturday it would have been likely for me to have had to wait till Monday for an Engineer to come out. Luckily Faye made some phone calls and within an hour a polite gentleman came around and fixed it for me. I now have hot radiators and not sat in a fridge. Great customer service from Faye and the rest of the team.

Jade has been very responsive in emails going through the process & explaining the details to us. GoogleCan't thank Martin & Co enough. We were in a really difficult situation living over 100 miles away and they were incredibly accommodating, in ways that other estate agents weren't. We have struggled to get viewings at other properties or narrowly missing out on others. Despite having a secure financial position this was due to our current location and the incredibly competitive rental market at present. It was very unique as the employees genuinely wanted to help, especially Hallam Beveridge, who took us around the property in the end. Unfortunately, the initial viewing was cancelled as the tenants refused access, however, they were incredibly quick to inform us and were very accommodating to ensure we were able to rebook at a time that suited us and the current tenants. The house is great value, exactly as described and have been very quick to answer all questions throughout the process. Thank you once again.

She was very accommodating and offered viewings throughout lunch period to allow those who work full time to have an opportunity to view. Very grateful for the help received and cant speak highly enough about my experience with this letting agent so far.

GoogleCan not express in words how fantastic this estate agents is. David Pike in particular made my purchase much less stressful and he was a delight to talk to. Moving can be a particularly stressful ordeal as it is but David made it pain free by keeping in contact and going the extra mile! Even in his own time! Can’t recommend them enough. Massive thank you to David, can’t wait to use them again once our renovation is complete! Thank you again!

Everything has been explained to me clearly and I was able to progress with my application quickly. GooglePlease stay away from them, especially if you are foreigner. They have discriminated against me!! The man called me to arrange viewing for a flat at Victoria house asked me about me family, I told him I am bringing my family from my home country and I am applying for their visa, he said we can not rent you unless you send a copy of your family members visas😳!!!!!!!. According to Home Office rules; I should provide a rental agreement of a family property to get my application accepted. When I asked the man if this is a rule he got mad and hung up the line on me. He breached the law, and took away from me my right to rent which the government has given to me, what a shame!!! According to his racist rule, I should never get visa for my kids!!! Please stay away from them!! To be fair, the lady receiving the phone calls was nice and respectful. Comment on owner reply, 7/11/2023: Firstly, you are not telling the truth!! The call was not end, they hung up the call on me!! twice, including the second lady replied my second call, she also hung up the call on me.Secondly, the lady I said she was nice, that the lady receiving the calls when people call for the first time. Lastly, how you can check the right to rent of dependants??!! Who have not been here yet?? You have the right to check mine, and that what was supposed to happen. I were not happy and were not look understanding what your employees were saying, I were discussing with them and they hang the call on me!!!!
We are sorry to hear that you felt you had a bad experience with us at Martin & Co. In response to your review we would like to confirm the following took place: Our agent called you to get more information regarding your enquiry of the property. He asked when your partner would be in the UK and if your partner had a Visa so that we may complete Right to Rent checks which is necessary for any applications we take when applicants are moving to this country. This question upset you at the time and, as my colleague was trying to explain the process to you, the phone call was ended. You then returned the call where you spoke to another colleague who you said was nice and respectful to you. She explained again that we need to do Right to Rent checks and explained what this would entail. You seemed to understand this explanation at the time and were happy with her response. As mentioned above it is necessary we carry out these checks before setting up a viewing to ensure we are able to reference you as well as ensuring the property is suitable for you too. Without this information we do not arrange the viewing so that no one’s time is wasted, including yours. We hope after reading this you can understand the process a little better and we would be more than happy to help you find a property in the future as we do for many other people who have or are in similar positions to you.

Also very enthusiastic about his job meaning that we were even more encouraged to use this company to find our ideal property.

GoogleI'm advise everyone to avoid the service of this company. They are not looking after the tenants (as they should, based on the tenancy agreement), and when you are reporting some issues, they are getting angry, and of course, they are not assisting you. If you want to end the agreement earlier (even if you are on a one month rolling contract), they are asking you to pay thousands of pounds with a devil laugh. When you are going to their office, they have there two (I will not call them...you know how) women's who are sitting on the chairs, drinking and laughing and you can only watch them, together with the manager of that office. Very disgusting and very racist company. We had reviews that were deleted by them (or reported to Google as false) because they don't like to have the truth published. Avoid this company, avoid them!!! They don't deserve even one star.
Hello Alina, We have read your review and spoken with the staff in the office. We would be happy to discuss the points you’ve raised as you will recall that when your tenancy ended you left the property full with your furniture and possessions. We did our best to help you by giving you extra days to clear the items away but have had to use contractors to clear a lot and get it professionally cleaned, which you did agree to. During your tenancy you have been verbally aggressive to staff when they have tried to help you with matters relating to your contract. Adam was the main person we dealt with, though everybody we meant was great, it was good to have Adam to liaise with and to help speed up the process. Collected the keys from the office which was again a smooth process. When we went into the property we were very happy the property was completely empty and extremely clean. Overall, very happy with the home buying journey through Martin & Co and thanks once again to Adam for making each stage for a first time buyer as simple as possible.
