GoogleWe let from west end let's for a year they we're very transparent, fixed everything that needed fixed and couldn't of been nicer. Word of warning however when we moved out of the flat we were charged a "cleaning" fee for which they couldn't tell us what needed clean (flat was like a showroom when we left). Well over £200+. We're students and don't have a lot of cash. Hands tied behind our backs and nothing we could do from what I think is a money making scheme.

I'd like to clear up any confusion regarding the 'fee' you have mentioned however, as we do not/have never charged tenants a fee over rent or deposit payments.
‘Under the Rent (Scotland) Act 1984 and the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988 it's unlawful for landlords or letting agents to charge a 'premium' for the granting or renewal of an assured, short assured, or private residential tenancy. 'Premium' is defined as 'any fine, sum or consideration, other than the rent, and includes any service or administration fee or charge'.
The cleaning ‘fee’ in you refer to was infact an actual amount owed to a cleaning contractor following an end of tenancy clean of your property. This was applied based on a comparison between the check-in and check-out inventories, which indicated that cleaning was necessary at the end of your tenancy. We communicated this with you at the pre-move out inspection and following your actual move out, and it was subsequently applied from your deposit held with Safe Deposit Scotland, a transaction which you and your flatmates acknowledged and accepted on June 24th this year.
If you'd like, I'd be happy to provide you with a copy of the cleaning invoice again along with the corresponding communication exchanged prior to and after your check-out again. I can also share a copy of the check-out inventory with you again should you wish.

I rented a flat from this agency and the contrast between the virtual visit and the reality is immense! When I arrived, the flat was in poor condition: wooden floors with holes, damp walls, scratches, holes, the windows not cleaned and in single glazing (living in Glasgow it was very cold). The sofa was broken, the chairs broken (we were replaced at the end of 2 months quad even). The bathroom tiles which break and finally the complaints of the ruined furniture which lets us see a mousetrap (which means there were mice in the flat!). So that at the end of the lease I am told that I must reimburse part of the deposit because "flat not sufficiently cleaned". I find that totally unacceptable so I put a negative opinion on this agency. I advise you to go see another.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

I have known West End Letting for a while now and can honestly say they are the best in Scotland. I have had a lot of experiences with letting agencies, landlords etc and West End Letting are extremely professional, help out wherever they can and actually go out of their way to help as many people as they can. They are honestly the best in the business and easily the best in Glasgow by a mile. They are very good with tenants, they manage landlords well and they work super hard. When we arrived the flat was in a terrible state and it took them literally two months to provide us with enough chairs for all the tenant. And even worse after the end of our lease we got charged for a cleaning service despite leaving the flat in a much better state than it was given to us.
