Although the initial interaction with Storage Vault Paisley was good. It's now clear ongoing quality of service is sub-standard and provides little value for money. In the 3 months since signing up, admin errors and faulty equipment have prevented access during agreed hours. If convenient access is one of the selling points, then this is not what is being delivered! My advice, shop around and find a more consistently reliable alternative. There's plenty of competition in the local area.

We'd like to provide some context regarding the access issues you've experienced. The first occasion where your access code did not work was the result of an administrative error following a missed payment over a weekend. We recognised this mistake, resolved it promptly, and have since updated our internal processes to help ensure it does not happen again.
The more recent access issues are related to an intermittent fault with the keypad system supplied by our access control provider. Unfortunately, because the fault is intermittent, it has been difficult to identify the root cause. However, we want to reassure you that we have done everything possible from our side to rectify the issue and remain in regular contact with the supplier while they continue to investigate and work towards a permanent solution.
We fully appreciate that reliable access is one of the key reasons customers choose self-storage, and we understand how frustrating these issues have been. While the circumstances have been outside of our direct control, we recognise the impact they have had on your experience and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused to which we have discussed with you recently.

Everything was good … apart from the fact that because i forgot to give 14 days notice ( i gave 7 ) i was charged an additional £64 !! I hired the unit for 2 months and was clear at the outset that that would be as long as i needed it for. Storage Vault should send a reminder 14 days before the end of lease date to let customers know that they need to vacate or rehire, instead they choose to rip people off by springing these additional costs on them after the due end of lease date.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry things didn’t end as smoothly as you’d hoped after an otherwise positive experience. Our licence requires 14 days’ notice to end storage, which can be given in advance. In this case, notice wasn’t received until you got in touch, and the account information email sent after your move-in clearly explains the notice period. If notice had been given earlier, this could have been avoided.

I have now used 2 locations with storage vault, the Stirling and the Grangemouth locations and both times I have had a wonderful experience. Any issues I faced with codes not working or having to extend my usage I have been met with exceptional customer service and rapid assistance offered. I could not recommend more as it is a very economical option for Students and compared to some other facilities you get a good amount of space and security for your money.

I booked storage unit in Motherwell but the specification given wasn't right. The stuff can't fit in the unit. I booked another one which is with same specification but lift wasn't working and I couldn't use the first floor unit because I have heavy stuff. No one was there to help and resolve the issue because there office closed. Next morning I called them but they have very poor customer service and instead of resolving issue they blamed me of not using lift properly. They charged me for a service which I didn't use. Really bad experience of using storage vault and wouldn't recommend any one to use them. Also measure the unit before use because they don't accept their fault and blame customers. Don't trust storage vault.

We fully investigated your concerns, including reviewing CCTV and speaking with the staff involved. This confirmed that the unit specifications were correct, the lift was operational, and the displayed lift instructions had not been followed by you.
Our records also confirm that assistance was provided when you contacted us the following morning. We therefore do not agree that the lift was defective, the unit was incorrectly specified, or that you were charged for an unavailable service.
Unfortunately, the evidence does not support the version of events presented in your review.

Tbh communication is pretty poor. I got my vault and stuff moved in which was fine. The company failed to inform me that I had to bring my own padlock. I was told the person sent the email to the wrong email address. After a stressful day of moving my belongings the last thing I wanted to do was go and buy a lock when I could have bought this in advanced.

I spoke to someone on Tuesday I was needing storage inbetween a house move was told to send over paperwork and ID and that a unit was available for my date however just received a call today - Saturday telling me they can’t offer me a unit as the one I was allocated has been extended With whoever is using it. Sorry but why allocate a unit if you don’t have one just waisted my time in an already difficult situation giving me 5 days to find another unit. Would not recommend

Managing one's own space is straightforward, with good access, trolleys provided, and a trolley lift. I have never used storage before, however Deborah Jack made life so easy and got me out of a really tricky spot. Deborah and Jordan at the Paisley branch are so polite and helpful and their customer service is fantastic. Not a great experience at all. Rang up on a general enquiry, their selling technique was very pressurised. Then went to view the site the next day and no one was there or contactable in a timely manner. Rang them three times for different people each time who couldn't answer my questions. Eventually left it with them saying they'd call me back and they never did. From what I could see of the site they didn't have any internal storage which is what Is been asking for since the beginning. Just an awful waste of time.

We were looking to store items from our home in preparation for our upcoming house move. We had previously used outdoor container sites and wanted something clean and secure. The service from Stefinie was excellent. She was clear about what we needed and was not encouraging us to pay for larger containers based on our needs. Also informed me of requirements for the storage unit with no obligation or pressure to buy the company’s. (Although I did buy a padlock and used their insurance as I was very impressed with the quality and ease of it all). She showed me around and the site is so clean and feels so secure compared to other storage facilities in the area. She was also very patient with me as I had my two boys with me who were a little over excited! Very reasonably priced with a great offer on at the moment. Even without the offer I think the money is worthwhile to have our items stored in such a well looked after facility! Very pleased with our experience so far. Thank you!
