Moving to a new city/country can be pretty challenging, and just the thought of how many things I needed to deal with and the details I needed to pay attention to was very daunting. However, the Slater Hogg & Howison made the whole process so easy for me that all my worries disappeared after I had my first contact with them. All the employees, especially Nicole and Kirsten, were lovely, understanding, and effective in clearing out every bit of doubt I had. Everything was set within a couple of days, and there was an app explaining step-by-step how to set up the electricity, broadband and council registry. They are just amazing, and I highly recommend their services.

Pretty horrible renting experience. Encouraged my landlord to exploit a legal loophole in tenancy law to increase my rent by 27% during cost of living crisis when 3% increase cap was in place in Scotland. Subsequently tried to charge us £170 to clean a toilet when we moved out. Needless to say when disputed they lost but not fun having to deal with that.

When attended the viewing, they said because it was not confirmed by email (which was not mentioned in the email nor was required on last viewing), therefore, even though the office is right next to the building, they will not do the viewing until the following week. The attitude of one the staff in the office was hostile and unpleasant. Half an hour prior to the viewing on the second week, they said property was sold even after we have expressed our interest. There is no closing date. I do not think they have tried their best to get the best deal for seller by having sincere buyer to view property sooner or even mention we are interesting to the seller to let the seller decide. It puts me off to use their service to sell in the future considering that will be the service that I will be getting. The way they handle the viewing make viewer feels the staff get more say about who will get to buy more than having a fair transaction and best deal for the seller. We have rented a few Flats previously in and around Glasgow City Centre managed by Zone Group and Macleod Lettings. The service we both have personally received from these companies has been terrible and personally ask people looking to rent to look elsewhere. But now being a Tenant of a property managed by Slater Hogg & Howison I cannot recommend them enough. We have had zero issues with our Home, Application or Move In and trust that if there was that Slater Hogg & Howison would have any issues sorted immediately. With a detailed inventory list taking all aspects and details into consideration, the care of Tenants and Landlords is truly paramount, and I would like to say Thank You. Slater Hogg & Howison leads an example to other Property Management Companies. An agent who I can’t recommend enough is Kirsten Lundie - Kirsten has been nothing but Professional, Prepared, Supportive and Knowledgeable. Kirsten continuous to go above and beyond for myself and my partner from the start and throughout our Tenancy. A very Prepared and Caring woman who gets the job done and it is impressive.
