Absolutely incredible!

We have been in our new home for just one week and WOW, what a stress free AND personal service we have received from all involved from start to finish.Peter, the sales representative is full of knowledge, knows his role inside out and goes above and beyond in every single way. He is friendly, approachable and we could not recommend him enough. Peter truly is an asset to Avant and his hard work deserves recognition and praise. Thank you so much Peter.Gary, the site manager along with Paul and the rest of the team worked so hard to get our house completed within our goal timeframe. We have seen the incredible work they undertake which is to an exceptional standard. Gary and Paul are approachable and readily available to tend to anything that pops up. Lynsey, our go to for customer services is efficient, kind and available if and when needed. Moving house can be a difficult time, and I have no doubt ours would have been that if not for this incredible team who truly place customers at the core of their service. We are overjoyed with our new family home, and cannot recommend Avant - Brompton Mews enough. Thank you.

Phenomenally high quality!

Recently moved into Birkey Heights and what an awesome experience throughout! From Kyle, Peter and Julie in sales, to James the site manager, Laura at customer care and all the people who have built our new home! Everyone we’ve met has gone above and beyond to help with anything we’ve needed. Everything has been done as promised and we’re really happy with the service and build quality of the property. They’re incredible houses and the lads still on site are friendly and you can see they all really care about what they’re doing. I hope this review is shared with them and James can pass on a ‘socially distant’ hi-5 from us! We look forward to properly settling in and know that Laura will support us if anything else comes up. The best new build developer by far..

From the moment I made a call to Avant Homes - Cityfields, Wakefield to see if they still had any two bedroom properties available to view/potentially purchase I knew they were the developer for me. Their customer service was / is brilliant. I was made to feel welcomed and at ease (I viewed the property just as we came out of lockdown)My Avant journey has been some what of a rollercoaster ride to get me to completion but I couldn't have done it with out the Sales team (Jeanette, Kelly and Olivia) They have been on hand every step or bump of the way (and these bumps were not on Avant's part in anyway) I am just under a week into my new Avant home and I couldn't be happier. Plot 6 was meant for me :) As well as the them, the on-site team, Rob and the team that are still on site building other Avant homes have truly looked after me. Nothing I ask is an issue, they greet me every day as if I'm part of the site team (which is lovely as their is only me and another couple on site at the moment so I really feel at home even though we are still in construction but its all part of the experience and I love it). I would highly recommend Avant to any first time buyer (or any home buyer in fact). My home is exceptional (yes there are a few snags but all of these are easily fixable so do not be put off by any other comments - it's bound to have these and the team offer an after care service) In terms of the home fixtures theses are really good quality and the finish/specification on the homes is by far the best compared to other new build developers.I am so glad I made that call and came down to Cityfields - this will be a life long memory I treasure. A huge thank you to all of the Avant team on / off site you've made my whole buying experience so much more enjoyable. We have recently bought a home over at Wynyard Grange (plot 29) and could not be happier with the service we received from Rebecca Darby. We felt completely at ease when liaising with Rebecca, she was completely transparent, professional and absolutely went above and beyond for us. Even on her days off, we would receive updates, she would give us courtesy calls and when things weren’t going so well due to complexities with solicitors, Rebecca spent the time on an evening on the phone putting our mind at rest.I honestly don’t think I have ever experienced first class customer service like it. Thank you to Rebecca and Steve (site manager), who also explained things in detail to us, made us feel at ease and ensured our experience was positive.

Overall good experience

We’ve recently moved into our new home and have been impressed by pre and post customer care. A special thanks to Natalie J who was there every step of the way with helpful updates, advice and expert knowledge. Even throughout lockdown when she kept in regular contact which we found reassuring. Like most, we’ve noted some snagging issues but Dave and Laura F have been responsive in facilitating repairs albeit with some still outstanding. We moved into our home at Carnethy Heights in July we love our new home!!! Can’t thank Jo and all the sales staff enough for the help and support we received moving into our new family home at such an uncertain time. Jo constantly kept us updated with the progress of house. Our moving date ended up being delayed nearly 4 month due to covid. Jo phoned us every week for those 4 months keeping us updated, showed empathy, and was reassuring and informative. From our first visit and even as I type this, Jo truly provided a 5 star service. We would also like to say a big thank you to all the trades. Very friendly always said hello and professional. Be prepared to chase and fight constantly for things to be put right.

We have had nothing but problems from the first time we walked through the door. Up until that point we’d had a really good experience with the sales team at Babbington Quarter, Jenny is a credit to the company. The incorrect kitchen was fitted when we first viewed the property on our Demo day, out of the several checks Avant carry out before Demo day this was never picked up. The week that followed was honestly hell thanks to Avant. Poor communication, terrible service and we felt like they were somehow trying to make out we made an error when it was actually a member of their team. They eventually agreed to put the kitchen right after multiple upsetting conversations and lots of emotional distress for ourselves. We’re first time buyers and I can honestly say they ruined what should have been an exciting time. This was the first time we felt like we had to fight to get what was right and what we were paying for, there have been many more occasions like this since. We did feel reassured once it was agreed to be put right and we were compensated. However, despite the promise it would be put right, we’ve been in the house a year in October and there are still parts of the kitchen that are wrong, with no date provided of when they’ll be put right. This was only the start of our problems, our toilet fill valve broke last month which took 6 weeks to be fixed, 4 of those we spent with no usable upstairs toilet at all. Our water board estimated our toilet was loosing 3,600 litres of water a day for nearly two weeks before Avant agreed to get a plumber out to isolate it. We were told the delays were due to waiting on a part, on the day it was fixed the part ordered was the wrong size but the plumber went to screwfix to sort it on the day. That should not have taken six weeks for someone to do, particularly for a job that was a really easy fix. Our parking is shocking. It’s next to another plots parking and yet there are no boundary markings, despite the fact that all other plots on the main road have a gap filled with pebbles separating the parking spaces. We currently struggle to move our bins out from our garden as they won’t fit between our car and our neighbours. We only have small cars which will change later this year, this is only going to increase our problems. The shared drive has the smallest turning area meaning my partner in his slightly larger car cannot reverse onto our drive as the turning space is too small. We recently reported the fence we’re responsible for at the bottom of our shared road as it is leaning backwards into the trees behind. I was told by the contractor on the day that the concrete bases weren’t right and that the panels would be marked up to be replaced. Two days later I get an email from Avant saying the damage is due to weather and as such it isn’t covered under our warranty. The fence has been up 10 months and clearly was not fit for purpose if 10 months worth of weather can damage it so significantly. Today I found out several issues I reported two months ago were never logged, meaning two months down the line we’re no further forward to getting them resolved. I only know this because I asked for a full list of outstanding works to check everything was there. All in all these are only a few of the issues we’ve experienced with Avant: ruined turf, shared fences that aren’t fit for purpose, bathroom flooring that is water stained and has been laid onto debris, a warped bath panel that’s already been replaced once yet has bowed again, mould around the side of the bath, gaps in the bath seal/ grouting, a front door with a gap in the frame that you could see through, bi-fold doors that stick and have a faulty plastic edge that hangs off and an outside tap that didn’t work as the part under the sink had been fitted the wrong way round. There are honestly many more and most are still outstanding. Overall I could not be more upset and disappointed with Avant. To this point I truly feel we have been as reasonable and patient as we can be, we report our issues, wait a reasonable time, ask for an update and get told this will be chased. We then rarely get an update in a reasonable time and have to chase again and again. It feels like it's a full time job keeping on top of all the outstanding issues, and it's became clear after 10 months of hell and disappointment after disappointment, that if you don't do this, nothing will get put right. The impact this is having on mine and my partners lives/ health is devastating. It’s our first home and we’re having to fight repeatedly to get things put right. As much as I love the design of the house, I can honestly say it is not worth the stress Avant have caused.

Excellent home buying experience with Avant

We reserved our house in July 19 and moved in July 20 it would have been sooner but Covid-19 got in the way which is probably the case for everything this year. They soon got back on it as soon as they could and got us the keys within a month which was brilliant. We have had a great experience with buying an Avant home. Steph was our brilliant sales advisor keeping us up to date with everything when it was happening always honest and open with us as well which made us feel at ease throughout the process. The home finishes are all top notch and when we were looking we hadn’t found anything close to the space and spec you get in an Avant home. Any snags that we have mentioned have been dealt with and booked in. Staff are all very helpful and approachable. Thank you Avant for making our first home a happy experience.

Nice house bad customer service

Back in February this year I looked at purchasing an Avant home in Dunfermline (plot 21 Pitdinnie Grange)I have to say that I was most impressed with the house and decided to buy. As we lived in Cyprus and had a prospective buyer, we paid a £500 deposit. Avant and especially Pam the sales person were most helpful. I have to say that they offered us an incentive to use a solicitor Clarkboyle based in Glasgow who in my opinion were useless and the partners did not seem to communicate with each other (Sent missives to my Son instead of me, sent emails meant for me to someone unknown). I would never use them again.Because of the Coronavirus and the lockdown in Cyprus, my buyers pulled out and I had to cancel the purchase I claimed force majority as it was no fault of ours. avant still saw fit to take £100 from the deposit which,under the circumstances is very unfortunate.I now notice on their website that plot 21 is being re advertised for sale at an increased price of £12000 more than we were buying it for,very surprising as all tiles and kitchen was already chosen. It is disappointing that a company like Avant chooses to treat their customers like this. I loved the house.

From the first visit viewing the show homes and available plots the sales team were amazing. There is one lady on this site who needs great recognition and that is Steph. She has been amazing throughout our purchase and move. Then there is also Mel who was also there to help. I can not fault the sales team here at all. Due to covid19 it was a rush to get us completed but we got the keys just as lockdown was announced. Difficult times for everyone. As with every new home there will be snags and I am sure when they can enter our home all this will be done.Again if your looking for a new home Avant designs are in my eyes excellent. We have just bought a new Avant home at Ten Locks Market Harborough. The sales advisor Amy was brilliant. She helped chase our buyers solicitors as our sale was taking a long time with no answers and kept us informed of the progress with weekly calls. Even though Covid halted proceedings suddenly, the transition to working from home was seem less and Amy’s service carried on. Although the house has some teething problems Avant are doing all they can to get things put right. We love our house and the spec is a lot higher than with other builders.

We are very pleased with what we hope to be our forever home. Natalie from Avant Homes at Danetre Place was absolutely brilliant throughout the whole process. Paperwork was chased throughout the whole process which helped with the smooth chain and finally completion of our new house. We’ve been living in our new house for a couple of months now and not had any issues. Excellent - Hawfinch Place, Avant Homes. Brilliant Homes, Great Teams, Fantastic Experience

The whole experience with Avant has been excellent. Starting with the sales teamLead by Beth at Hawfinch Place, they kept us up to date every step of the way, ensured we were comfortable with our decisions at each stage, and were on hand to answer any questions we had.After completion the site team lead by Ben kept in regular contact to make sure everything was going smoothly and to ask if we had any issues. Most problems we found were small and resolved within a few days and others that have taken longer have only done so because of COVID-19. Ben was even kind enough to source some carpet protectors for us on moving day.The central customer services teams have been great, again keeping regular contact with us even during lockdown to ensure everything has been okay. They’re responsive and helpful when issues are raised and have ensured quick turnarounds where possible.The build itself is great. The finish and quality of everything from the paint on the walls to the look of the kitchen and bathrooms is excellent. There has been cracking around the bannister and some door frames but these were expected with a new build and can easily be repaired. Importantly there have been no issues that have been dangerous, structurally critical or extremely aesthetically unpleasing, and that extends beyond our home to the wider site which has been kept tidy and secure (apart from the wind picking up a bit of sand and dirt - can’t really help that).Overall we are very happy here in our new home, and would heartily recommend Avant to those looking for a new build property, especially the Hawfinch Place site. They do say that moving is the most stressful thing you can ever do, but in our experience that simply hasn’t been true - I’ve only done it the once so I’ll leave it to you to decide if that’s because of Avant or luck, but either way we enjoyed the experience, love our new home, and are looking forward to living as a family together here for the years to come.

A pleasure from beginning to end. We love our new Avant home, it is completed to such a high standard and is everything we wanted! Hollie in the sales office has been amazing, so lovely and incredibly helpful and most importantly, always did what she said she would do.
