I’d also like to personally thank Adam for helping me fill in my forms from the solicitors as I was completely lost. Nothing was too much trouble. GoogleRecently pulled out of a purchase through Moving places and swapped to a different agent. The purchase was initially going quite smoothly, but after a general chit chat with the kind gentleman I was purchasing from, it became apparent that my wife and I had been played. Our offer on a property for £250K (FULL asking price) was rejected, as a higher offer had already been submitted. My wife was devastated so we had increased our offer to £260K which was accepted... Later on in the day I get a call to say that we had been gazumped by a considerably higher offer... After discussing with my wife and having some time to think over the weekend, we increased our offer to £275K which was substantially over what is was worth but I could see in my wife's eyes how much she wanted it, this was accepted and the wheels were in motion. We had increased our initial offer from £250K to £275K - exchanged telephone numbers with the seller, which Moving places strongly advised against! But I am so glad that we did... In conversation with the seller, I mentioned how gutted my wife was after the gazumping episode and how scared we were about losing our dream home. The seller seemed a bit baffled and didn't really know what I was talking about, but insisted on inviting us over for a coffee to discuss timelines, also he wanted to sell us his dishwasher, washing machine etc as he was planning on buying new. I feel I'm waffling on here a bit, but long story short my wife and I were one of two viewings, the other viewing did NOT make an offer... Therefore it became apparent that in order to maximize the price from the sale, Moving places have some very dirty methods, which nearly ended up costing me £25K. Subsequently the seller was disgusted with this, I was livid and so was my wife. The seller suggested we find a new agent and he would accept my original offer price of £250K... I am glad there are some honest people in the world, but at moving places you certainly won't find any. Please do not make the same mistake, it's all a big scam - you will get played, use a high street name like Heart which you can trust...

GoogleWe had a disastrous experience with Moving places, whom mistakenly booked our move in for the wrong day. I except that in the real world, mistakes happen, however for me, what makes a company a professional outfit, is how the mistakes are rectified. We felt that after a couple of phone calls, we were hung out to dry, with no support or advice. I have waited a week before writing a negative review, to provide Moving places a reasonable time line to get in contact with us to at least apologise for not tuning up and completely ruining our move day, as well as our complete chain - However, 7 days in and nothing !! My wife and I have had to take time off from work to finish of the move and it has cost us dearly in 'favours' from our friends that came to our rescue. If this is how I treated my clients, I would very soon not have a business. You told us that you were the best in the business - Guess what, I would think long and hard before using that term again..... We so wish that we had stayed with Glen at Scofield's and paid more for a professional set up. lesson learned - Never again would I contact Moving places, nor would I recommend anyone else too, however, I can say that Glen from Schofields and the correspondence with the company was a completely professional and reassuring set up. Absolutely fantastic service - always available to speak to (even outside of work hours), always kept us up to date with what was happening with our purchase and went to extra mile to get things completed as soon as they could be.
