Team very pleasant and helpful. My daughter and I sold a flat. Once the buyer was found we were kept up to date with information on the buyer in regard to their thoughts, concerns and progress towards the final sale. That additional information not available from the solicitor was helpful in moving the sale forward as well as keeping us informed. We were very happy with the service.

I was particularly impressed by the experience and local knowledge of the agent (Richard) . Marketing publicity is outsourced to a dedicated professional, marketing media was of good quality and properly represented the features of the property. The sale was eventually completed given the challenges of the pandemic which impacted other parts of the chain. From the outset McCarthy Holden have been superb, details were promptly and accurately posted, we were kept up to date with all bookings and post booking feedback.All the staff were able to check on queries and when the person you wanted wasn’t available they always called back as promised. The property was empty but they visited the property every week to check all was ok. As mentioned earlier all the staff were superb but special mention for Pedro ( negotiator) and David ( post exchange chaser) who we felt went the extra mile . Can't fault all the staff members we dealt with either face to face or on the phone. If we had a query it was dealt with promptly, professionally and with curtesy. Victoria, who showed prospective buyers around our property always ensured the security of the house when she left and I believe encouraged people to take their shoes off to view, which was great and very respectful! Staff seem nice, but never call back for viewings on a property. This is the third time I have enquired about properties one hour within it going up, have been told viewings open the next week and I will be contacted, only to never be contacted. When I call back, I'm told the same story of "oh we will contact you" but never get a call, only to call again and be told someone has already put offers down. I've missed out on three properties that were great for me due to zero communication.

*** Beware **** Following a telephone conversation with Julie Adams from the letting department , I was left very upset and disgusted with the manor that she spoke to me and even the staff in the office, who over heard the conversation felt it necessary to apologize for her ! Her lack of professionalism and aggressive approach isn’t something to be tolerated. Having dealt with this company for many years . (admittedly with other helpful staff members who unfortunately have recently left ), I was taken back by Julie argumentative aggressive attitude , where she continually attempted to over talk me and didn’t even have the customer courtesy to listen, This apparently when talking to others is not a one off !!! I was advised to take the matter up with one of the company directors however it looks like it stems from the top as they didn’t even have the courtesy to reply to my email .. Thankfully there are plenty of other good local estate agents in the high street !!
