We have sold two properties through McCarthy Holden this year and had excellent service, especially from the branch manager Victoria. She has always negotiated a fair deal, been great at communicating regularly and proactive in moving things forward when needed. She has also been a great support to our family after needing to sell following a bereavement. We have used McCarthy Holden for all our sales and purchases for more than 20 years and they have always done an amazing job. Thank you to Victoria and all the staff for all you have done for us now and over previous years!

We finally moved home at the end of March 2025. Due to difficulty selling our London home, the attempted move spanned 2 years. It is no surprise that Vicky has been promoted to Branch Manager at McCarthy Holden. She showed us around several properties and was very focused on our needs throughout the whole process. She kept in touch regularly, was patient and professional, yet friendly too. Daniel Martin also provided great service right at the end of our search, and we are now happily settled in Fleet. Having just sold our house and purchased our new property with McCarthy Holden, i would highly recommend them. Especially Victoria, she is absolutely fantastic! I believe if it wasn’t for her the whole transaction would not have happened. Nothing was too much hassle for her, she was always a phone call away or a message - the rest of the team there was also a pleasure to deal with. We spoke with many other Fleet estate agents and they all gave us the typical stereotypical estate agent vibe, our experience with McCarthy Holden was the total opposite. We asked 3 estate agents to value our family home of 20 years, which was not a straightforward task due to its high price bracket and individuality. From the outset, we very much appreciated the fact that Richard listened to us and what we wanted, rather than it being the other way round! We respected his calm and honest manner - he didn't try to impress with fancy sales patter. Amalia handled our viewings and was always totally professional; we felt that we could completely trust her to show the full potential of our property to buyers. We were selling in a particularly turbulent market; Richard was realistic throughout and maintained a consistent approach. We received a number of competitive offers, which were handled in McCarthy Holden's reliably measured style and on acceptance, they did an excellent job of managing everyone's expectations to get us over the finish line. There is a general assumption now that Right Move sells a property and it doesn't matter anymore who you market it with; we would strongly disagree with this for all the reasons above and cannot recommend McCarthy Holden highly enough.

I was very happy with the sales process and in particular Hattie, who was attentive to everything I said and needed in my new home. She proactively contacted me about a house that had unexpectedly just come back on the market and that is the house I moved to. Unfortunately, once I had my offer accepted and I was passed to the post-sale team (if that's the correct term) things did not progress that well. Unreasonable demands from further up the chain (like exchanging in 14 days from offer acceptance) were passed on without any attempt to say that no-one in the chain was in a position to do that. I felt significant pressure from these demands and feel that they could have been handled much better.

I am a first time buyer and very anxious about the entire process. I saw a posting in the desired area, contacted McCarty Holden to have a viewing and met Hattie. Hattie was very knowledgeable and gave me a detailed walkthrough of the flat. I ended up putting in an offer after one viewing and after a brief negotiation, my offer was accepted. Hattie was very patient with me and extremely helpful. Without her support and handholding throughout the purchase process, this would’ve been much more stressful for me. I am very happy in my new flat and I am very happy that I went with McCarthy Holden as the other agencies were quite pushy and didn’t fill me with confidence.

We have recently been dealing with Victoria (Fleet branch) to help facilitate our house purchase. Victoria went above and beyond to help us find the house we wanted, even though we didn't sell our home through MH we were still kept in the loop with anything new they were bringing to the market which other Estate agents were reluctant to do. David, Richard and Amalia were incredible from start to finish! We put our house on the market in June 2022 and had hugely bad luck in trying to find a house to buy (we have only just exchanged now). The entire team were very supportive and consultative throughout. They were easy to get hold of and very proactive. Having seen multiple houses through various agents in Fleet, I can say, without question that they are the best around. I would highly recommend their services and definitely will be using them again.
