GoogleAfter a long time on the market with other agents , changed to St Quintin Property Group as they seemed to have a wide range of properties for sale , so plumped for the fact they must have alot of knowledge and experience . As soon as I met John , he reassured me how much realistically my property was worth and should sell for.

I’m so sorry for the delay! It’s been manic here but we are nearly there! We move next Friday to a rental in Ashley Heath and then hopefully the bungalow we are buying on lions lane will be ready by the end of January! It’s been a process but I think the end is in sight and we’re really excited to be down in time for Christmas.

We met Kerry at St Quintins while we were trying to find out dream property in Dorset. It was a big move as we were coming down from Cheshire. Kerry understood how big this move was for us and was so helpful and kind as we searched for a new property. Kerry was honest, helpful and sincere and gave us the best advice and showed us some stunning properties. Kerry was also on hand for advice on locations, schools and knowledge that only a local expert could give. We would definitely use St Quintins again and couldn’t praise Kerry enough.

Probably the most incompetent agency I've ever worked with. Just had a purchase fall through at a massive inconvenience and some expense due to StQ,
Absolutely terrible at keeping you in the loop, you have to continually call to follow up and find out what the current state is. Then often you'll just get voicemail and it'll be hit-or-miss whether they call you back (and it is more miss than hit).
They appear to neither represent the interests of the vendor or the buyer, just their own.
[additional comment] Unfortunately the response From StQ does not reflect reality or the conversation I had with them earlier today. The shortfalls identified by StQ as having happened, the changes to processes and potentially retraining of their staff appear to be omitted from the response.
StQ were made aware, at the point of making the offer, that there was a deadline of two weeks to start the mortgage application process. There was no pressure for the vendors to find an alternative property as I was happy for completion to be months away, the only thing required was the appointment of a conveyancer to allow the property to be taken off the market and get some form of certainty ahead of significant financial outlay.
Throughout the two weeks since the offer was made, we were continually kept in the dark. There was not a single call originated by StQ to let us know what was going on. In every instance, we had to call in to find out what the current state was. As the deadline approached, I extended it out causing problems with my future employer, on the promise of a resolution by the end-of-the-day, not surprisingly I didn't receive a call that evening, or the next morning. Had to ring up again to find out what was happening, was told I would hear by the end of the day - again no contact.
Put off another two days over a weekend past the deadline, rang on the Monday and was told there still wasn't a conveyancer appointed. I let StQ know that the appointment with the lender was at 16:00 and I would have to commit to significant financial outlay at that point in time, yet at this stage the property was still on the market and being advertised on on-line platforms. I let StQ know I would be on Zoom calls all afternoon so I couldn't answer the phone, but I would be able to receive emails.
For one of the first times since I made the offer, StQ actually tried to ring me! They tried wice, but didn't bother sending an email until around 30 minutes later after appointment with the lender would have started if I hadn't cancelled it.
I can't tell whether the property stayed on the market and the deadline was allowed to pass to ensure that I had made a financial commitment to a full structural survey on the property (due to the construction type) and then they would look for other offers or raise the asking price - or whether it was the failures StQ outlined as lessons learnt on my call with them this morning.
If only they had be as quick to respond and keep us in-the-loop as they were to call up me up in response to a poor Trustpilot review, I probably wouldn't be in the situation I am in,

Mr Blake, hopefully following our recent conversation we have come to some sort of resolve on this matter. We are sorry that you feel the way you do about our office, however for clarity to the public please read the following:
The vendor of the property is our paying client.
Mr Blake viewed the property in question on the 26th May and the 28th May - our notes state Mr Blake was very keen on the property however needed to sort finances before he could make an offer.
Mr Blake made an offer on the 1st June which was accepted - Subject to the vendor finding a forward purchase and instructing a solicitor. Mr Blake was aware that the vendors had still to find a forward move and were looking in the Surrey area.
Mr Blake rang in on numerous occasions, asking for us to hurry along with the process of sending out the sales memorandum so that he could start the ball rolling with a mortgage broker. We notified the vendor of the urgency of this. The vendors are elderly and have lived in this property a long time. On the 4th of June i spoke with them and they felt as if they were being pressurised into moving out quickly which we spent a lot of time explaining to them, wasn't the case.
The vendors had researched and instructed a solicitor by the 7the June when sales memorandum was sent out.
Unfortunately, in this time Mr Blake was changing jobs and had missed his mortgage appointment therefore having to withdraw his offer.
We are disappointed for both Mr Blake and the vendors of this property that things could not have been tied up quicker, but feel that the accusation of incompetence is unfair and possibly a comment made in frustration. It really does not benefit anyone in this process for this sale not to have completed.
We wish Mr Blake all the very best with his next purchase.

They were wonderful, could not have been kinder and more helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them all, especially as I lived in Wales and there was a great deal of emails going back and forth. GoogleI would definitely NOT recommend St Quintin in Ferndown, wholly due to Ben Clark the manager. As the seller of my home in Ferndown I received an appalling service from Ben Clark the manager.
I had no choice in having to pay them their large fee as the seller, but they definitely didn’t do much to earn it. They didn’t do much chasing along a long chain and even when I specifically asked Ben Clark the manager to make a phone call to chase he failed to do it.
Ben the manager was unhelpful about giving others access to my home when I asked for help (isn’t that the job of an estate agent?)
Ben Clark the manager is also confused about the client relationship- he was supposed to be MY agent as I was the seller, and I had to pay his fee. But instead Ben only looked after my purchaser, which was bizarre as the purchaser never paid him a penny in fees.
Astonishingly Ben Clark the manager also doesn’t seem to understand the concept of completion- on the day of completion he asked me to release my keys to my purchaser even though I had NOT received my completion monies! Specifically against my solicitors advice. There was an appalling 5 hours delay for completion, which was caused by my purchaser which (as usual) Ben didn’t do much to progress.
Definitely stay away from Ben Clark St Quintin is my recommendation, I wished I’d chosen one of the other estate agents in Ferndown. I might have actually received some service for the large fee I had to pay!
I have only given them one star because there is no option to give zero.

Following receipt of your recent review, please firstly accept our sincere apologies for the service you feel you received.
Having reviewed your file notes in detail, it is disappointing for us to hear that having previously dealt with us when you purchased the property in 2012 that your experience second time round, when selling the property, fell short of your expectations.
Unfortunately it seems quite a few elements of your dissatisfaction seem to have been out of our control. As discussed on the telephone Ben Clark no longer works for the company.
The length of time between exchange and complete can vary, as can the time it takes for funds to transfer and for keys to be released. All of which are controlled by the banks and solicitors involved, not the estate agents. This is an unfortunate and very frustrating part of our job, however 5 hours seems very unacceptable all round and we understand everyone’s frustration on completion day. We appreciate that moving house is one of the most stressful times in peoples life’s and once again we can only apologise on behalf of the solicitors, the banks and ourselves for your experience.
Our 1% fees are standard to the company and our industry.

GoogleTruly dreadful service, not worth one star. Over 2.5 weeks, messages left for both Belinda and Ben, the manager, in connection with land for sale. Neither has ever phoned back. Receptionist says that Ben is so busy being out of the office that he's always on the phone when back in the office. This is no way to run a business. End of enquiry for me. No faith at all. I feel sorry for their vendors who are losing potential buyers
I have just (after 7 months) seen a response from this company which is ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE. What is stated above is the truth and AT NO POINT did we receive a phone call from them. We had no interest whatsover in building, our enquiry was solely to purchase land for recreational purposes. Suggest there is now even more reason not to trust this business.

To Colin, We didn’t re sell the property, unfortunately for ourselves and you the vendor re sold the property privately and we did not receive any monies what so ever on this sale.
You contacted the manger Ben whilst he was on Annual leave and a member of the team contacted you back. Again we couldn’t give you any information as the vendor didn’t let us know about the private buyer until we heard from the solicitor that she had sold privately and withdrew the contract.
