Well what can I say, the dynamic duo of Terry and Dylan from the Chatteris branch. Right from the start they were friendly, down to earth and professional always keeping me up to date on what was happening and helping me through the minefield of buying and selling a property. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is considering selling a property. Can't rate them both highly enough. Five star service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had to give it 1 star as you can’t write a review otherwise, so in reality I give them 0 stars!! This company is an absolute sham!! Since the 10th July 2024 my elderly farther has been without hot water and heating, he is boiling pans and the kettle to wash his pots and pans, and carrying boiling water upstairs so he can have some kind of a wash!!! This is absolutely ridiculous disgusting and unacceptable, this company don’t give a fig, all you get is ‘oh, I’ve only just been given this case’ or ‘we are trying to contact the landlord’, this is utter rubbish.Duty of care, none existent !! If you are a landlord I advise you stay away from this farse of a company and seeking renting or selling elsewhere, if you were looking to rent or buy, forget it, stay as far away from this …( I can’t even call it a company)… array of people that do or don’t answer phones or emails under the name of sharman Quinny. My 0 stars stands firm! Avoid at all costs.

Today I was amased. Feedback from a viewing of my property was "it is a lovely property, but because it has no garage, it's not what I want". But what is so tragic about the 8 months that SQ had my property on their books and a handful of viewings, is that this was the most responsive of all. And what was Amazing about this? SQ description of the property "there is also a garage in a block with power and light with an electric up and over door"

I wouldn’t give them a star. Service for rental appalling. No communication no reports sent till end of tenancy. House was left disgusting. They didn’t do reports or follow up on anything. Jay sat on mobile all time while Valentino made excuses for everything they got paid to manage!!!! JOKE

it became apparent, quite quickly after the take over from Optima that things were getting worse, I really dont think this was Simon's doing, we had issues with the previous Tennant and some small jobs needed doing which I was expected to pay for before the deposit was released, problem now, and an empty property costing us money , but according to a rival company this is not a problem, why was your property empty, and we had a lot of other issues with S.Q, one of them being very late payments in some cases, however all these issues and more have been resolved now, we have dismissed S.Q and have appointed a rival agent and are very happy with there performance and lower costs and set up fees, now I know there will be a smart reply to my complaint, but there is no excuse for the amount of chasing and fobbing off my wife has been put through or I might add the bad management we and probably others have received, we trusted S.Q. with our property and we feel extremely let down

I would not trust this letting agent! They are given us the run around in regards to giving our deposit back! We left the property end of October and still haven't got our deposit back, I've called a number of times chasing and emailed. It is a joke the person who is dealing with us is Mo, he takes ages to get back to us and doesn't seem to care what so ever. How the hell do I get my money back? We have bent over backwards to try get our money back! Awful letting agent! I recommend you stay far away from this place and find another agent!

Please avoid using Sharman Quinney…

Please avoid using Sharman Quinney under any circumstances. If I could have given no stars I would have, there is nothing good that can be said about this agency. It's honestly the worst agency I have ever come across and I've been in the industry myself for 14 years now. They cannot even carry out basic due diligence when advertising a property so be prepared to be misinformed. One property was advertised as both freehold and leasehold, when we phoned to check we were told it was freehold, but it turned out through our solicitor it did have a lease too. They also didn't know the seller was only selling with a limited title not a full one, something that again only came to light through our solicitor six months later, a complete waste of everyone's time that could have been avoided if Sharman Quinney could be bothered to get to know the sellers and the houses they are selling better. The property we eventually ended up buying was advertised as having allocated off road parking. When we phoned to check this we were told this was definitely correct. Common sense told us this didn't seem right as none of the properties there had parking and the space was no where near the house! It turned out this was not the case at all and there was no parking with the house. It no longer fitted our needs however as this all happen several weeks down the line, and we were due to be made homeless in a matter of weeks, we simple had no choice but to proceed. Sharman Quinney's response to this was 'we take the word of our sellers' so it seems they will believe anything you tell them as a seller, despite the fact common sense should have made any competent agent question the parking situation in this case. Sharman quinney are the only agency I know to get away with not carrying out basic due diligence. You will never be able to get hold of anyone at the branch, we had to phone another branch on many occasions to get them to contact the Shelford office for us, they don't reply to any phone calls or emails. They have a turn over of staff every few weeks, you are not told when someone is leaving nor introduced to someone new starting. The person starting will also have no clue what's going on with the sale so be prepared to constantly have to repeat yourself. They do not bother giving you any updates or chase a sale for you, complete laziness. They will be sitting on their personal mobile phones everytime you drive past. When we raised a complaint about their shortfallings and appalling service, we didn't get a single apology. How this agency is still running honestly baffles me, at the very least the Shelford branch should not be allowed to continue practicing.

A massive thank you to the Thrapston branch, we have had the most professional and friendly service we could’ve asked for! They sold our house in a week, then unfortunately our buyers pulled out on the day of exchange! This was obviously very stressful (over Christmas) but they were straight back on it getting us lots of viewings, they have just sold it again for us (above our last offer too 😊) they have been so supportive and at the end of the phone when ever we have needed them!
