GoogleFor reasons beyond Sherwood's control, our flat took over a year to sell. Sherwoods persevered, and were proactive in finding us new buyers when the first three pulled out because of issues with lease detail. Warren and team were easy to contact, responsive, knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant to deal with. Strongly recommended.

GoogleI wouldn’t recommend this business if you’re looking to sell or rent a property. The branch manager mr Eldridge was very rude and unprofessional. End up selling my property with another local estate agent.

GoogleI am very unhappy with the service provided by Sherwoods in Bedfont. Although they were successful in selling my property, they were very difficult to deal with and often un-professional. On one occasion, a member of their staff conducted a viewing and was unable to set the alarm on the property. To remedy the problem, they de-activated it by switching the alarm off at the mains. This reset the alarm system entirely and left me unable to secure the premises (which had been left un-alarmed for several days). When I confronted them, the member of staff who conducted the viewing, denied that she had tampered with the alarm, whilst confirming to me that it was her by describing the actions she took. I requested the director to arrange the re-initialization of the alarm system and he got so angry that he hung up the telephone and did not speak to me for the rest of the time that the house was up for sale. During this conversation, the director asked me why another agent was doing a viewing when the property was under offer. In fact, he told me that it was inappropriate for me to conduct viewings of the property with another agent whilst it was under offer through his agency. This is completely incorrect and runs contradictory to any common sense that a seller would display during a property sale. So upset was I with his behaviour that I arranged to take the keys to the property from them so that they could do no more damage. When I picked up the key from the office, I was treated appallingly by the director Danny Aldridge. I was told where to stand, I was commanded not to look at anything and was definitely not made to feel that I was a valued customer in any way. If the current state of the housing market hadn't made this sale so difficult, I would have terminated the sale of the property there and then. To do this day, I have had no apology from Danny or anyone else in the company. Unprofessional behaviour.

Dear Beverley Thank you for your review. Your comments have been noted. We would like to confirm that we take all customer feedback seriously. We confirm we have reviewed the matter and would comment on the points raised, as follows. You stated that a member of our staff had apparently turned off the alarm at the property. During the telephone conversation we had, you stated that other agents had continued marketing and had been carrying out viewings at the property, which meant that they also had access to the alarm. We had ceased marketing the property, as we had found a buyer and had only visited the property to allow the buyer another inspection. We also requested confirmation as to whether the property was to remain on the market, as we needed to inform the purchaser under The Property Ombudsman Code of Practice which we adhere to. It is noted that you disagreed with this comment. We revisited the property, as a gesture of goodwill, to try and reset the alarm for you but were unsuccessful. We informed you of this during our telephone conversation, when you stated you would be collecting keys from both agents. When you attended the offices in Bedfont to collect your keys, Danny Eldridge was not present as he was on annual leave, Warren Stembridge handled the key request professionally and your keys were signed over to you. Warren Stembridge has been your main point of contact since the property went under offer, which is standard practice, as his years of experience means he deals with our sales progression extremely competently. Sherwoods were successful in securing a buyer for the property in a difficult market place were other agents could not do so. In our opinion the transaction has been dealt with competently, leading to a successful exchange and completion taking place. I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with the service we have provided. We aim to provide a high level of customer service at all times. Following my review of the matter, I conclude that Sherwoods acted in a competent and professional manner at all times throughout the transaction up to and including completion of the sale. GoogleOh my I waited so long. Few years ago I tried to rent a flat. Ad stated, all bill included apart from council tax. Went to see the “agents” so I could take a look and decide if I wanted to rent or not. After checking it out I liked it and told them I want to rent it. After we paid all fees and so on we realised that we don’t have any bills included. I went quickly to get the screenshot of the ad on their website and guess what!? Ad has changed from all bill included to no bills included. Obviously upset I went back to cancel the whole renting due to them changing our terms. After long argument with “very professional” Staff we have been charged £400 for god knows what and they wouldn’t give it back and never did. I wonder if these are still their practices, but it doesn’t hurt to let people know. Be very careful and take pictures of absolutely everything. Ps. Lovely lady admitted that it was bills included and then changed her mind :) Be aware !

We confirm all of our charges are in our paperwork when you decide to take one of our rental properties. With regards to bills being included in the rental of a property, the majority of the properties we rent do not include bills, it also takes a while for a listing to be updated via the various websites. GoogleVery bad at communicating information to tenants.They don't respond well if we call them. They don’t inform complete details of house prior moving in. They just handed over dirty house without cleaning neither they informed us prior about it. When asked they said that’s how owner gave it to them.

The landlord supplied us with the keys the day before you checked in, our Lettings partner visited the property to check the apartment but found the property full of personal items. Unfortunately as explained to you with the short timescale we were able to arrange the clearance of the property but not the clean, we have explained that due to the situation you would not need to get the property professionally cleaned on check out. GoogleVery very dodgy , they play the game very dirty, first they give it to you, then they tell you sorry some one else has offered more . Other game they play, they tell you is sold, but if you offer more you can have it, even though the house has been in the market more than a year . Really had a bad experience with them.

Unfortunately the property you offered on had several acceptable offers accepted by the vendor, the vendor decided to choose the purchaser who booked the mortgage valuation first with our office. These instructions were confirmed in writing to you on 29th June 2017 via email. We would ask you to note the property was listed on 26th May 2017 and your offer was made on 28th June, meaning the property had been on the market for a period of 33 days.
