So grateful with the letting team most especially Ruby. I was so devastated and keen in getting a property. Ruby kept me posted when I asked the property. At first she explained that the viewing appointment slot is already full and if I want to put my name just in case somebody will cancel their appointment. Luckily, she called and discussed about the property and if I am interested. Then the rest is history. But yeah, can't thank enough Ruby if that time she did not phoned me perhaps until now I will be hopeless in finding one. Cheers and more power to all of you!

Anti social tenants welcome at Martin an co.

Martin and Co are responsible for the nightmare tenants next door. I have called them 9 times to report anti social behaviour as I cannot sleep until around 2 -3 am. This has ruined my mental health and ability to function at work. They care not about duty and responsibility. I wouldn't use them in any shape of form. No standards.

As a landlady for over 20 years this is comfortably my worst experience. The letting agent at the Leicester office was rude and patronising at times. Incorrect AML checks for which there was an expectation the landlord would cover the costs. Slow replies to email and requests often not actioned. Questionable GDPR compliance with attempted validation through loose loopholes. Overall a stressful experience which is concerning when you pay for a service to take away the stress!

The staff were brilliant. Gary was so very helpful. He replied to emails speedily. Requests were dealt with and reports back to us kept us in touch. I really felt I had support at all times. The monthly agency fee is very reasonable. and communication from the local office in Helston from Rebecca is prompt. Good estate agents but viewings are quite jam packed so bear that in mind. I did not like one particular person's telephone manners much from the brief conversation I had with him. I felt like he was quite abrupt and lacked tact, but I'll leave it at that. I had the pleasure of dealing with an estate agent named Ruby whom was very helpful from the get go. The landlord was also great and very accommodating with move in dates. Plus marks on staying behind an hour after closing so that I could pick up my keys that was nice of them. All in all my experience was good, my questions were always answered promptly by Ruby or a call back was received shortly after once she had finished helping another client. Thanks Hasan

Stay clear of Martin and co!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Simran at Martin & Co Birmingham City. Communication was virtually non-existent, she took 3-4 days to respond to emails, if she replied at all, and was unreachable by phone, insisting on email-only contact. As a landlord, I found her uninformative and unsupportive, particularly when dealing with tenant vacating processes. She provided minimal effort in securing damage deposits, even when damages clearly exceeded the deposit amount. Overall, her service was inadequate, and I strongly advise landlords to avoid working with her to save time and frustration.

We have been dealing with Martin & Co over the last 4 months whilst looking to rent a new home after going through homelessness. I cannot express how friendly and helpful they have been during this time. We have seen upwards of 10 properties with them during this time and been shown the properties by Liam on most occasions. He does a great job of showing the property, giving all the information needed and, answer any questions we have had. We have now been accepted for a home through Martin & Co and have dealt with Ruby during the referencing process, etc. She has been incredibly prompt during this process, given all the information we have needed and, made it such a smooth process. All we can say is a huge thank you to the team during this time as the kindness they have shown, has been a difficult time worthwhile in the long run.

Despite an initial negative experience where we enquired about a property and were asked to submit information to be considered but failed to receive any update or response despite several follow-up enquiries, our experience with Martin & Co (Jess and Verity in particular) was nothing short of brilliant (we put the first experience down to the understandable issues the staff likely faced post-COVID and the subsequent industry boom that followed). This is the first time I chose to rent from Martin & Co despite being in Falmouth for the past 3 years. My experience with the staff compared to other similar companies was amazing. Every single email or telephone call was handled with friendliness and extremely quick responses. Joanne was the agent who handled my enquiry at the very beginning with nothing but professionalism, quick responses and results. After that Beth took over the second part of the process which was also handled very fast and efficiently with a lot of help. Although I had some problems during the process they were solved almost immediately by the staff. Overall a great and quick experience. Update: After a year with Martin & Co I am still just as happy with the service provided even though my tenancy is about to end. Ruby and Sarah, the 2 agents responsible for handling my tenancy have always been extremely responsive and have dealt with any enquiry or problems I have had very quickly. It was a great move renting our house with Martin & Co Falmouth. I thoroughly recommend them, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. We have quite a straight forward rental situation in a new property that we thought we could manage by ourselves. When we started we decided to try with Martin & Co in our first year and see how it went. It turned out to be the best decision we made. There were several unexpected issues that arose and Martin & Co helped us smoothly navigate them. They have a great network of tradesmen to call on when something needs fixing and maintenance issues were quickly sorted. They acted as an independent advisor for both tenants and ourselves.
