My fiancé and I are first time buyers and recently purchased a property through Jack at Sowerbys in the Fakenham branch. Jack was nothing short of absolutely fantastic and made this purchase process as seamless and stress free as possible. We’d been house hunting for over a year and had had an awful experience with a different estate agent when attempting to purchase a property earlier in the year that ultimately fell through in the later stages. Having had such an awful experience previously, it had given us a lot of anxiety around going through the process again. Jack’s communication was extremely professional, friendly and responsive throughout and he regularly chased solicitors on both sides on our behalf to ensure the process continued to progress. He dealt with all the questions and concerns we had and kept us informed of any changes. Jack was an absolute pleasure to work with, and a true driving force in getting us into our home. He is a real asset to the Sowerbys team.

We dealt with Milly at Fakenham, it proved to be a first class professional service from the start. For an industry that is more used to a bad press, Milly bucked the trend. Updated review now that the sale has progressed to completion. Milly and the team at Sowerbys were in frequent communication throughout the sale process and answered queries rapidly; information provided was always accurate. When a very unfortunate and unforeseeable event arose Milly and others provided updates and worked to ensure that things progressed as smoothly and as rapidly as was appropriate under the circumstances. Great job! Milly did a great job of arranging a viewing, showing me around a property of interest and managing the process of making an offer. She seemed knowledgeable about the property and the process in general, and had a rapport with the seller who was also present. Communications by both email and telephone were informative and timely. Sowerbys provided a well printed brochure to accompany the viewing.

The staff at Sowerbys were extremely helpful in arranging four viewings for us over a two day period. We had travelled from Wales to Norfolk and it was important for us to be able to view properties in a timeframe that would also fit in with our return travel arrangements. We were assisted by 3 property specialists over the two days, Jackie, Milly & Nick and each was very helpful. A particular shoutout to Milly who was with us for two of the viewings. Early stages with looking but we had several viewings with Millie. She was punctual, smartly dressed and did her best to answer our questions. Sowerbys in general have been quick to respond to queries and helpful with providing info about conveyance process. All good so far! After several long months our chain of five finally exchanged. During that time Paula did a great job of progressing the sale and purchase along keeping me regularly informed and updated on progress. Phone calls and emails were always promptly and professionally replied to by all the team. I would recommend to friends and family without hesitation.

I was very pleased to meet Lorna and she was very professional and excellent in her demeanour and explanations of the two properties, which she showed us. I did not find her at all overbearing or pushy, which has not been quite the case with other estate agents that I have had involvement with. Her knowledge, and indeed her team's knowledge, of the various properties that we looked at was excellent and thorough, and there was not anything she was not 'up' on. If I had any questions about anything to do with the various properties I was concerned with, the team got back to me promptly. I also think their brochures for properties are beautifully presented and have an elegance about them, and are pleasing on the eye, giving interesting details about the location in which the property is placed, too. Everyone in the Sowerby's Team in Fakenham was responsive, professional and helpful in all our contacts, from the moment we approached them to market our house. They were creative in their sale documentation, showing our house in its best light. They were always present to accompany prospective purchasers on viewings, presenting our house positively and with sensitivity to what purchasers were looking for. A particular mention for James Martell who worked hard on our behalf to secure an agreement to sell.
