TrustpilotCambridge rentals fiasco
This relates to the rentals service in Cambridge. We rented a house from Strutt & Parker for more than three years. They were never quick to deal with repairs and other issues, however we had a direct relationship with the owner which made life easier. When we moved out at the end of June 2024, we got the full benefit of Strutt & Parker's contempt for tenants, stunning slowness and incompetence. It took them nearly four months -- until 28 October 2024 -- to return the deposit. There was a litany of lame excuses about the time needed for estimates for some minor repairs. The reality was that it just wasn't a priority, they didn't care and they couldn't even work out which photographs attached to the contract corresponded to which actual rooms. If you rent property in Cambridge, beware this lot. Or at least be ready to suffer.

Isabel Clifton came and looked around the property, she was punctual and very professional with a friendly attitude. Isabel had a good grasp of the market and how to market the property in a difficult housing market. Isabel and her team provided good helpful advice and had an excellent knowledge of marketing our property. Their whole approach was professional, from valuing the property, to producing the particulars and photographs, to arranging the viewings and showing the potential purchasers around the property and achieving a good sale price that I was very happy with. GoogleWe've been really pleased with the service we received from Helen De Burton. Our house was a tricky one to sell and we had one buyer really mess us around. Helen was supportive from start to finish and I'm happy to say we found a lovely buyer and still sold for a price we're really pleased with. Especially in the period between offer and completion Helen was always a WhatsApp message away to help the process along and make it as easy as possible for us, we really appreciated all her work. If you've got an older property I couldn't recommend anyone better, they understood the value of our house much better than any of the local agents.

Update - I was finally contacted by AndrewHarwood on Tuesday 12th. He was suitably apologetic and arranged to come to appraise our home personally on the 13th which he did in a very professional manner. On this basis, I have upgraded my review from 1 star to 4. Contacted Nicholas on chat service twice, 02nd and 05th Mar to arrange a visit by one of their valuers. No one called back in response to either contact. I was surprised and disappointed and so sent an e-mail to Andrew Harwood on 06th Mar, their Residential Director in Sevenoaks to make him aware and ask someone to call me as matter or urgency. No call back as of 09th Mar. Shocking. If that's how they deal with Sellers, what opportunities being missed with potential buyers??
