These guys were our estate agents for student rent from 2021-23. They are unbelievably useless, when we moved in the place had not be cleaned and the kitchen was unusable. Rotting food in the fridges and freezers, old used oil in containers on the counters, rusted out microwave that could not be used. Problems were never addressed, we had to sort it out ourselves. Not only this but when we moved in, having already paid 2 months of rent, they did not have the keys ready for us. Their communication and general management of the property is lazy.

Feedback for Tom (Thomas Coombe) and Charlie Davies Tom has been amazing from the very beginning. As first time buyers in our mid 20s who had just moved to the UK, we were really nervous and unsure about how to navigate the whole house buying process. Very disappointing experience, particularly at the end of my tenancy. Communication has been poor and I’ve repeatedly had to chase both Connells and the landlord for basic updates. I returned my keys and have since been trying to resolve the tenancy end date and return of my deposit. Connells told me the landlord would be in contact, but I have still heard nothing despite repeatedly trying to contact him myself. I appreciate Connells do not manage the property, but simply being told they “can’t get involved” has felt extremely unhelpful. I’ve been left in limbo and having to chase everything myself.

A couple of weeks ago we contacted the letting department of Connells in Exeter to help us find a tenant and manage our property.Liz was very helpful explaining how they could make the whole process easy and convenient ,we agreed on her rent valuation and put our property in their capable hands. Tatum contacted us the next day and agreed to take care of all the safety checks,which she did promptly.and efficiently. By the end of the week she had found 5 prospective tenants ,we chose whom we thought the most suitable. When we met to sign the agreement we were very impressed by her lovely personality and her professionalism, nothing was too much bother for her and we are very grateful for all the assistance she gave us.The tenant moved in last Thursday, what we.thought would take a month or 2 was done in a couple of weeks with no effort on our part,it was our first time letting and we were pleasantly surprised by the efficiency, the speed and the ease of our experience.
