Very unprofessional from Bloxwich Branch, had offer accepted, provided everything that was asked, Solicitor details, completed ID check that I had to pay for... to then be told another offer come in and they are selling to that buyer instead? Its what's known as being Gazumped... very unprofessional and communication came across very rude from the branch manager, disappointing as a lot of business could of come there way

TrustpilotOutstanding Service.
We've just had an extremely positive experience with this Estate agency. The advice we received was sensible, very considered and totally professional. The outcome was that we aren't marketing our home right now. That suggests to me that doing what is right for us, the client was more important than getting us signed up to sell our home. When we are ready these are the guys we'll be calling first.

TrustpilotPaul care four oaks- unethical agents
Paul care four oaks, one of the worst agents I have ever worked with, I put my property on market with them and then they couldn’t sell and so I changed the agent, had no luck with them either, they keep on nudging me to put the property again w them and i didn’t, for the past few times what they do is to show us only the properties that doesn’t have much demand and not showing us the properties that have significant interests even if we request them, I don’t have any words to express the disappointment! In short they don’t have any ethics and unbelievable.

Thoroughly unimpressed by the Erdington Branch. The sales pitch to get you to sign with them is impressive. Following that, you are almost forgotten about. No telephone contact from your key selling contact. I received one offer that I rejected with no follow-up. After 5 viewings in 3 months took my house off the market, no courtesy call, or email response to my request. I would not use them again.

TrustpilotPaul Carr Estate Agents
Paul Carr Estate Agents - Walmley. After months of false promises, lies and delays I have decided to sell the property elsewhere. There is a constant ping pong match between the agent and solicitors. You get very few updates and have to chase for an answer. They have someone called a 'Sales Progressor' who only provides an update after you chase, and if anything makes the process slower. When challenged, they will blame the buyer, solicitor and everyone else. Any other responsible company would be open, honest and take accountability for their actions. I strongly recommend staying away from Paul Carr Estate Agents.

GoogleWith so many estate agents on the High Street, where do you begin? I chose Paul Carr because they quickly understood my need for a fast sale and offered the earliest possible appointment.
John the branch manager did my valuation and he was brilliant, very knowledgeable, understands the market well, was honest, transparent, and never pushy. His advice helped my property sell within just two weeks of going on the market.
Carol, the sales progressor was amazing. She kept me informed, responded to emails promptly, and chased things up whenever I asked. I never felt like I was a bother in fact, I felt reassured every step of the way.
Despite the inevitable stress that comes with selling a home, the team’s support helped me through. I would definitely recommend Paul Carr and their team. Their professionalism and ongoing communication made a process that I would have generally found challenging, easy to navigate.

GoogleRating given five stars for Paul Carr had Ian Burrows come over and do a valuation was not pushy at all to go with him. Managed to sell the property STC within the first few weeks of it going live over the asking price! Was on the market a year prior to this with another estate agent and had no luck. Thank you to Ian and his team who dealt with the sale of Wheelwright Road would definitely recommend to others.

Bad experience.Recently we were looking to buy a property and found one that caught our eye on this particular Agency .The property viewing was presented by Cian who was very professional ,,polite and delivered his job in a good manner. However ,I would.have to say that at least ,it would be appreciated by the costumers to ventilate the property of the viewing and have in hand the total of square metres .Even in the leaflet it was not shown and I had to work out adding them manually room by room .

TrustpilotPoor service
Felt I had a really poor service from the Sutton Coldfield office. Initially my property was way overpriced which resulted in no interest. Then the manager advised me that auction was the best way to go. After 3 months of no luck and price reductions he actually admitted that it was bad advice on his part to go with auction. Throughout the whole process the contact, or rather lack of it was shocking. Whenever I phoned them I’d be promised a call back which never came. One of the staff kept telling me she’d call back with an update and never did. After the 4th time she didn’t call back I went in to the office in person. The manager apologised on behalf of the member of staff, which is fair enough. He gave me an email contact for him and said to use that if I needed an update. A week later I emailed him and guess what, no reply for a week. I had to go in to the office again at which the said manager looked perplexed when I told him I’d emailed a week ago. He opened his emails and found my email, claiming he must have missed it.

GoogleKelly was overseeing our purchase of the property, as first time buyers it was quite daunting not knowing much about the process.. Kelly was always happy to help with any enquiries big or small, always got back to me and kept me in the loop even thought I’m sure I gave her a headache with all my questions ! =P seriously dumbed everything down for me and explained the process thoroughly!
It’s really hard to find people that say that they will get back to you and actually follow through !! All I’m saying is .. if your purchasing with Paul Carr.. ASK FOR KELLY 🖤

TrustpilotInsisting on a MIP - unlawful request
Called them to ask to view a property. They insisted I could only view if I had a mortgage in principle. Yhis is not a lawful request. Advised them I only get a MIP if my offer was accepted. Getting too many of them negatively affects your credit score, some mortgage companies dont even do them. I advised that my financial advisor could confirm my financial position. They tried to push me to speak to their financial advisor. Absolute disgrace! Incompetent estate agents.

TrustpilotAwful experience, unprofessional and distressing
We recently ended our tenancy with Paul Carr Lettings and were shocked at how poorly we were treated. When returning our keys, we were greeted by Fiona in a hostile and condescending manner that left me in tears. We were even threatened with paying additional bills, despite there being no clear communication about key return dates.

Called in at the Four Oaks office to say I had a flat to sell . It was out of that office’s area so the guy said he would pass on my details to their Boldmere office . No one has bothered to call me despite my call to that office , where a man said it might have been one of his colleagues who took the message .

TrustpilotAvoid go it want a easier process and want to work with professionals
Avoid at all costs if you want to sell your property, go find another agent. Don’t believe the hype that they are largest estate agents in Birmingham, it doesn’t mean you`ll have a smooth, support process selling your home. They found me a buyer that was pain to deal with, I had no support from the local office when the buyer started playing up, even to the point I wanted to go back to market they would find excuses, get angry with me and convince me to stick with their buyer all because it meant easy sale and commission. Harry is somewhat inexperienced but trying his best but not very good when he gets told to carry out instructions from the seller i.e. if the seller says don’t take down the for sale sign it’s my property don’t argue back and if the seller says go find other buyers as the one Paul Carr found was a waste of time, don’t refuse, otherwise it gets to the point where the seller starts making demands! The office manager Paul, clearly had issues, he told me he would do a multi agent and then on the day of signing up he refused point blank, my mistake should have walked out then but they were cheaper. He soon quit his job as I found out later on he had a temper and the staff had made complaints about him. This explains a lot of things esp. when I wanted out of the contract, he couldn’t work out the 12 weeks end date of contract and added extra days and made up deals without putting them in writing and threw temper tantrum, good thing I recorded all my calls with him. General rule of thumb, they price it lower to middle of the market to make sale and not top end like everyone else. Sue who works part time, all I can say is avoid, she`s got years of experience but somewhere she has lost those skills and experience e.g. I knew of a property that sold near me and when I asked for details that they had listed etc. she was telling me a different price to what it was sold, despite me telling her I know the owners and the property quite well. She thought it was a good idea to go under the asking price to attract buyers clearly not a good idea. Biggest let down of Paul Carr was the volume of buyers; they had a trickle compared to the other agents. Also they don’t advertise on zoopla like everyone else, they use Right move and on the market.com, the latter of which is more around the south, everyone else uses zoopla even the national estate agents. The only good thing I can say about Paul Carr is there back office girls are fantastic and they do an amazing job keeping up with the seller and they don’t sugar coat it.

GoogleEvery buyers be careful!!! So, they gave me an confirmation of offer, and sent me a memorandum of sale, and told me I have 28days (i.e. 20 working days) to get the solicitor to do the paperwork. I am making a outright purchase, next thing the solicitor tells me they reducing the deadline to only 10 working days because I pay in cash. That’s not enough time to do the research and the property is still open to offer to other buyers. I call up the office ask to speak to the agent, and he is ghosting me. If you are gonna buy this house be careful, they obviously won’t give you time to do the research, because I personally believe there is a problem with the house.

You, as the buyer, made an offer on a repossession which was mortgage related matter.
As is the norm all repossessions are subject to continued marketing till exchange within 28 days. The buyer changed to a cash purchase, the repossession company changed to a 10 day turnaround.
We have to operate and co-operate with the intermediaries conditions and these very much dictated by the duty of care that falls upon lenders to ensure the liability of the repossessed party is minimised.
We as agents are strictly bound by these rules and as such must ensure that our duty of care and compliance is fully discharged.

GoogleHaving just used the Paul Carr team in Erdington for my house sale, I'm very happy to recommend them.
The team was extremely professional and on the ball.
They were efficient and communicated with me well at all times and ensured my house sale was actually an enjoyable process!
They got a great sale price for me and I felt at all times I was in safe, expert hands.
Very competitive pricing too.
Thanks in particular to Ian, Kevin, Sam and Bev - all were quite simply marvellous and really cared.

TrustpilotAwful experience with the estate agent
Awful experience with the estate agent. Put our house up for sale and the photos were done quickly with no effort and showed our house is the worst light. We asked them to change/ redo them, no joy. The house has been on the market 6 months with only 3 viewings, 1 turned up, 2 no shows (or made up!) We have asked for feedback and nothing. We have asked for guidance on what to do to attract more viewings - no call back. They have no drive to try and sell our house for us but will happily take our £7000 fee!
