I would wholeheartedly recommend Nicholls residential for a house sale. The team at the Epsom branch, particularly Paul and Martin, went out of their way to ensure our rather long (Covid-related) and complicated chain was kept intact and resulted in a successful sale and purchase. We'd previously been on the books of other Epsom EAs who had disappointed with their 'promise a lot and under-deliver' approaches; it's also unlikely the 'Saturday junior', with their mind on things will sell your house. The maturity and continuity of the Nicholls team was key to our sale and purchase and that's what you'll get from Nicholls. Persistence, understanding and delivery - what else could you ask for?

We used the Chessington branch to rent our home out. Simon was friendly and offered a good price but the service after signing was appalling. We were fully managed and the tenant had a problem shortly after moving in, we asked that Nicholls manage this. It was a comedy of errors that meant after two months we had to step in and sort ourselves. The three month inspection and consequent inspections failed to mention that our tenant had never once cut the grass in our 100ft garden. When I spoke to them I was told ‘well we can’t make them cut the grass!’ I thought the tenancy agreement was put in place for just that reason.As it was they didn’t cut the grass for a full year and it took us ages getting the garden back. Over the year we rented our home Nicholls took over £1500 and did nothing for it. We have now put our house on the market and used purple bricks as this estate agent has left a bad taste in our mouths.

From the moment of instructing them, I was impressed by Paul, whose manner and approach was way ahead of the competition. He also directed and managed the sale of the house and did so with expertise and a high level of efficiency. He also chased everything up relentlessly and gave me daily information on the progress of the sale, keeping the chain tight at all times. Paul, who handled our sale (and all the other staff we encountered) were lovely. They were all genuinely enthusiastic about our property and their wish to help us sell. After a couple of viewings we asked Paul to come and give us advice about ways we could improve the look of the property, which he did. Not an easy task to remain polite and positive to people who have lived in a house over 30 years and hoard! Paul was friendly and always happy to speak to us with updates when he had information whilst not wasting our time when he didn’t. I would definitely recommend Nicholls and would definitely use them again.

Nicholls Residential (Chessington branch) have been fantastic throughout our sale. We have not once had to chase them up on anything, the purchase of our house has been very smooth thanks to their support.
