Josh was great when we first enquired, then we met Graham on the same day as viewing. No complaints with that. However, we went through referencing and I had to chase NR who said we had failed checks. Jacqueline was very condescending in the office and the office team would not help any further, even though Rightmove told us a complete different story to NR. I then go online the next morning to see the property has been let and taken off line, all within 24 hours. Does not sound right as we paid our deposit and it remained online whilst references went through. We were fed a load of lies. The only decent ones we have dealt with have been Josh and Paul who seemed genuinely interested in helping unlike Jacqueline.

Nicholls Residential started marketing my house in November and were quick to organise viewings. They always confirmed them by email and followed them up with feedback each time usually within 48 hours. Through them, and in particular Michael, we received an acceptable offer on our house. Throughout the time we have been registered with them they have been reliable, professional and honest. They gave us a weekly marketing report as to how our house was performing with regard to numbers of viewers and always rang us each week to keep us in touch with what was happening. Being a first time landlord my wife and I "interviewed" a short list of agents following a bit of investigation on their reviews etc. We interviewed 4 in the end and it was difficult to find a differentiator. Nicholls was the last agency we saw, so we had some experience by this point. Nicholls provided a stand out difference, what was it? Well Graham went into great detail about how they select the tenants, apart from the usual references etc. he said "Would I want them living in my house?". We plan to go back to the property one day so this attention to detail was very welcome and gave us the confidence to place our business with Nicholls. Not only are they easy to deal with they can provide as much or as little help as you need, for instance Gas and Electric certs, cleaning, inventories and they take the costs of the first rental meaning no outlay which was fantastic.
