After finding our dream property at Douglas Allen, we were assisted by David Tomlins, who has been extremely helpful and patient in keeping us up to date with all the formal proceedings and necessary paperwork required. He's definitely made the whole process a lot less stressful and I would recommend him to anyone else looking to buy a property at Douglas Allen. Overall I would describe our current experience as nothing short of amazing.

The service received from Chigwell office is appalling. Be careful if you are a buyer, feel like I’ve been scammed! I viewed a property in Hainault & made an offer then was told my offer was too low as there were a higher offer on the table then was asked what is the maximum I can offer then I told them £5k extra is my maximum & they took that as my offer & without even going back to the seller said that is a workable offer. Surely if there was another buyer they should either go back to the seller or the other buyer to review. After offer accepted they try & sell all sorts of service to me although I’ve already informed them I’m not interested. After offer accepted I straight away instructed a conveyancer & mortgage broker to get everything in place & after a month of offer accepted the advert still shows the property is still available & not Sold subject to contract. While half way through the process & searches in place I’ve had a voicemail informing me that the seller went with another buyer & that the property is now off the market. I would never use Douglas Allen again & if you are a buyer I would suggest you ask all the questions & put all your terms in place before proceeding your purchase otherwise they might find another buyer if you don’t use their service.
