We have used WJ Mead for 10 years and couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Michael went out of his way to keep our buyers patient while we found a property and then take it from 0->100 when we suddenly needed to exchange quickly. Great team and could have chosen a better estate agent.

Meades recently handled the sale of our house in Mile End and dealt with Billy and Michael. Friendly, welcoming and warmly professional from the outset nothing ever really felt a problem for them, and they were able to advise and guide us seamlessly through an off market sale with a non-traditional exchange/completion timescale. Communication from them throughout the process has been utterly faultless with quick response times to email queries and a friendly smile if you call unannounced into the office. I actually genuinely enjoyed the Meades experience so a big thank you! Highly recommended.

I had a great experience with WJ Meade, from their valuation through to the completion of my sale, everything was faultless. My first buyer pulled out a couple of days after making an offer and Harry Pitkin was on the ball lining up viewings straight away, and another buyer was found a day later. Michael Whitby remained in continual contact throughout the sale process following up with solicitors and keeping the whole process moving along in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend the team at WJ Meade in Bow.

Michael Whitby gave unbiased and honest advice when I asked him to evaluate my property. Based on my discussions with him I selected WJ Meade as the sole agent for selling my flat. These were difficult circumstances and the staff of WJ Meade did their very best considering we were all restricted by the coronavirus situation. We trusted Meades to go it alone and achieve the best sale for us as we already had a house to purchase, mortgage free, with the bonus of vendors generously keeping it for us until we sold. We are grateful for the recommendation of Golly as solicitor because we had an excellent service from her. Billy and Harry were a brilliant sales team, maintaining confidence and optimism at all times. Michael fulfilled a crucial role as broker between all parties and enabled us to move when we needed to, albeit at a much lower price than his initial estimate, but we appreciated the need to be pragmatic. In retrospect, our brochure and online details could have been slicker from the start and we would have appreciated more information on the sales board - under offer, sale agreed, sold etc as we had at this end. Thank you to all the team.

Everyone at WJ Meade has been a pleasure to deal with, can't recommend them highly enough. I have been through the rental process many times, and this is by far the best and most seamless service I have had. Haris helped us find a flat in the hardest time in the world to rent a flat in London and Katie made the whole admin process completely pain free and seamless.

My partner and I had originally put down an offer on a home through WJ Meade thinking that it would be smooth-ish sailing from there after a long winded process of finding the right property. We had our offer accepted on Thursday, conditional on completing before the end of December which we accepted and hurried to instruct our solicitor and broker. Come Monday, we spoke to Mike Maddin, the Managing Director, who then told us that another offer had been accepted on the house, thereby gazumping us. We were incredibly frustrated and disapointed by this as we were not given any opportunity to counter offer, or told about this until Monday afternoon when all this had been occuring on Friday and over the weekend. We were appalled by the lack of professionalism and integrity on their part. I would never use or recommend WJ Meade again given the underhand nature of this, or lack of communication around possibility of counteroffering.

The initial valuation meeting at the property we were selling was pleasant and confidence building. As we went through the sales process, we had a good level of communication, being informed of progress regularly.We were aware of the efforts Meades were making with both parties solicitors to try and expedite the sale.Should we ever have the need of an Estate agent in the future, it would be Meades and would not hesitate to recommend them.

But no voicemail that very evening I went back on Rightmove to see the property was sold subject to contract. When I managed to speak to someone I was told the vendor had received the asking price. (Well was the vendor not interested in selling over the asking price).... old habits seem to die hard with this company I purchased a property with them some 6 years ago and I remember struggling to get my offer put forward so I ended up driving to the vendors home and agreed a price with him there and then
