I have been a landlord for over 16 years and Equity is an estate agent I had the misfortune of working in partnership with. I gave Equity full management control of my property within less than six months my rent was in arrears. After three months not once was the rent paid on time. The rent accruals grew, and grew and grew to an excess of £5,740 and nothing could be done. I informed Equity about my stress and anxiety and Equity in my opinion did not do anything to alleviate my stress and anxiety. Not only this, the drawn out saga lasted for three years and each time I seeked help from Equity and they were not able to give me concrete help on matters on how to get my house back. They just said it is my responsibility!!!! I ended up haemorrhaging my cash balance by seeking my own legal advice. It cost me nearly £2000 in solicitor fees but it was the best £2000 I had spent. However, the trauma, anxiety and stress I faced seeking my own independent legal assistance with minimum help from Equity was overwhelming. I am a person of colour and I am diverse, what was even more important for me regardless of the money lost, the rent accruals of £5,740, my own legal fees of nearly £2000 was Equity did not deal with my complaints. Losing £7,740 was not the worst thing about the whole episode but the complaints I made to Equity more than once about being treated unfairly were not dealt with to my satisfaction!

GoogleI was really disappointed as Equity were actually recommended but even our friends were shocked. Dreadful, they don’t work with the solicitors and we ended up losing money in removals. All they want is their commission. Pushy and desperate. Greedy and unprofessional.

The service I received from all the guys at Equity was absolutely fantastic too many names to mention but definitely special shout to Darren, Josh, Helen and Kyrie who are all absolutely fantastic and made sure to get my sale over the line despite a lot of obstacles being put in the way! The sale was a complicated one but they were nothing but honest with me and I couldn’t have asked for a better service. If you’re on the fence about what estate agent to use definitely use there guys 100% you will not regret it whatsoever. Huge thank you again and would definitely use these guys again !

Appauling service for tenant but great service for landlords They set you up to ensure you are able to pay all your rent and bills, you do that on time by standing order. You experience issues and even get a section 21 and ask for help with an inspection and you get told it’s not possible! I’d never let with equity again. The manager at Enfield branch was beyond rude, called me darling to belittle me which I asked him to kindly not do. He made a snide response about being polite by calling me darling rather than apologise. My dad listened to the conversation and held back getting involved as he saw I managed it more professionally then he did.
