Strutt and Parker supported us through the entire process of sale very effectively, including through the stress of last minute completion of sale. Ian and David were always professional, great at explaining things, and arranged suitable visits and helped us achieve a reasonable sale agreement fairly soon. The advertisement material was good and the pictures and 3D presentation were superb! The photo of the old house, given to us as a housewarming gift, was a lovely touch. I was worried when I realised that they do not advertise on ESPC but in the end it did not seem to matter.

Posted on behalf of my mum. “I cannot recommend Strutt & Parker highly enough. David and Ian were just amazing. I was downsizing and very nervous, having only minimal knowledge of what it all entailed. They completely took the stress of selling my property out of my hands and it wasn’t long till they had an offer with no chain. But there were other options on the cards, such as offers which had conditions of property to sell before they could buy but I listened to their advice carefully and followed it. It was spot on and we had a successful sale! David and Ian are both very professional and knowledgeable but more important to me they are very patient and very kind humans.” I would also like to add to this and reiterate everything my mum has said. Me and my sister live in Australia so trying to support mum with selling her place was always going to be a challenge, but David and Ian made it so much easier. We were also a bit nervous about how it was all going to work out and had a lot of questions but David took the time to have a long video call with us (even working around the time difference) and answered all our questions, hugely alleviating our concerns. We could tell they understood what our mum needed from the get go and made sure she felt heard, informed and supported throughout the process. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Took 3 attempts to get a call back but eventually worked out.....

Update - I was finally contacted by AndrewHarwood on Tuesday 12th. He was suitably apologetic and arranged to come to appraise our home personally on the 13th which he did in a very professional manner. On this basis, I have upgraded my review from 1 star to 4. Contacted Nicholas on chat service twice, 02nd and 05th Mar to arrange a visit by one of their valuers. No one called back in response to either contact. I was surprised and disappointed and so sent an e-mail to Andrew Harwood on 06th Mar, their Residential Director in Sevenoaks to make him aware and ask someone to call me as matter or urgency. No call back as of 09th Mar. Shocking. If that's how they deal with Sellers, what opportunities being missed with potential buyers??

Terrible, unprofessional and lacked any customer service

I thought carefully about writing this review as normally I wouldn't take the time to do such a thing. But I really thought that this S&P office in St Albans were very unprofessional and lacked any customer service. However, I must say there was a Secretary who I spoke to who was lovely. Just to give some context, I responded to an ad for a 2 bed property. I received no response therefore emailed the agent directly. Again, no response. So i emailed again. Finally after 4 days, the agent called. I am a nurse so they left a message asking me to contact them. I'm a nurse so was unable to call until that evening, so I text the agent asking to view. Again, no response. I text 3 times that day, no response. I called around 5.30 that evening and left a voicemail. The next day, I again received no response to which I text again stating i'd email, text, and called and no response so was there someone else I should speak with. At this point the agent called me back early that afternoon. We arrange to view the property on Monday. When I attended, the usual show around was done and I advised I'd be putting in an offer. I advised, I needed to move quickly, and would appreciate him letting me know asap. He said as soon as he got in his car he would email me the details. This was mid-afternoon. It was only later in the evening that I received the email asking three things - offer, job title, who'd be living there, and moving date. Which I completed immediately. To this day - I never received an acknowledgement of that email or a response. In fact, despite sending him again a couple of further emails asking him to response he did not. We led to me contacting the office, then a colleague 3 days later. She advised me that the landlord had accepted another offer, which was now going through referencing. She said that she would speak to the said graduate agent. Following this, you'd of thought you'd have received and apology from him BUT nothing.Whilst I appreciate people are busy, but given the current situation in the world, how difficult it is moving home customer service and kindness is key. If you cannot provide a good service to the number of people you invite in, invite less and instead do a good job.

We engaged Strutt & Parker to sell our country house property in May 2023. This turned out to be a very difficult period for property sales.
