Had the pleasure of dealing with Monarch Legal for the purchase of my first home. I dealt with Michael and Annemarie mostly and both where very polite and professional through out the process and many a time put me at ease when a few snags reared their head, none of which where caused by Monarch Legal. I would happily use them again if I were moving and will be recommending them to anyone of my friends of family if they will be moving or selling anytime soon. Marianne has been so helpful getting our properties on the market and finding us a buyer, especially during a time when the market was so slow. What we really appreciated as well was that the costs were all laid-out up front, there have been no hidden charges to worry about at all. Am still going through the process of actually finalising the sales, so will update this review to discuss the legal side of Monarch once all missives clear. But experience has been great so far!

There is something a little different about Monarch. Anyone can say they go above and beyond or that they give grade A service or that they are a friendly helpful bunch. But actions speak louder than words and as an estate agent in the local area I use the services of Monarch because they are quick to respond to me and my clients. They do go that extra mile to get the job done and they really are a great bunch of people to be around. If you are looking for legal support then I would definitely recommend them. They have some great properties too but that didn't come from me as in that respect they are the enemy 🤣. Can you believe that another Estate Agent would leave such a glowing review for the competition. Well I just did and Laura Shields & the team all deserve it. Thank you guys 5 Stars from me. Thank you to all at Monarch Legal for leading us through buying our first ever home! Particularly Michael Connolly, who answered all of our million queries and seemed to be on hand 24/7, even responding to us outside hours. I think we should have been a lot more nervous than we were, given that we were using the LIFT scheme, mortgage and ISA’s, and were first time buyers. I had a very good experience with this firm overall. Communication was a little slow to begin with, but there was a misunderstanding with the communication between a third party. I had a tight deadline approaching and once we established the reason for the delay, they put a lot of effort into making sure everything was completed on time. I’m especially grateful to Maya, who worked hard to get everything sorted and kept me updated throughout the process. I highly recommend lawyers from Monarch. In particular, Chris Prucharski and Agnieszka Styś Full professionalism, commitment to work, conscientiousness, loyalty - these are the features of the couple of lawyers Agnieszka and Chris. They both helped us a lot when we bought our first home. They both worked very hard on our case and of course everything was a success. Were it not for their perceptiveness, we would have bought a house with problems. They advised us with everything, helped us. There was no problem with any contact. Chris would even answer the phone late at night after hours. I never felt like I was alone with that. They also took care of our house purchase during their holiday. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be the owner of my dream home now. I thank them very much for everything.

My experience? Monarch really dropped the ball for me, they didn't draw down my mortgage (pre-approved and agreed months in advance) in time for the agreed moving day, so, at noon on moving day, a Friday, I get no keys because they hadnt been paid. Quite understandable from the sellers view. My phone calls to my solicitor at Monarch's mobile phone were clearly being screened because they went unanswered but were responded to minutes later by texts instead. I drive to their office 45 minutes from home, only to find out they'd closed up an hour early to beat the 4pm traffic getting home, so the people in the neighbouring office tell me. Nice for them, I didnt have a home to move into! Finally resolved after the weekend. To add insult to injury, despite giving almost 4 months notice of my purchase, they invoiced me more than they had quoted with additions like "expedited documentation" which sounds to me like they billed me extra for their own forgetfulness in not doing the very thing they were being paid to do in good time. Seems like all of the stress of moving home came from Monarchs offices. Months between having an offer in and moving in, and seemingly everything was left until the day before my move.
