All in all I had a positive experience with Tristram's. It was a difficult sale due to onerous leasehold legislation and there were a few hiccups along the way but there was a positive "can do" attitude from the whole team from the beginning. A particular shout out to Kirsten who is highly responsive to emails and keeps you in the loop with a clear and honest explanation. She's a terrific 'chaser' too and gets answers fast. It would have been a much more painful sale without Kirsten's tireless efforts!

Prompt responses and helpful throughout the process - especially toward the end of the process when a lot of work had to be done to find the current tenants a new place to move to, which as I understand it a lot of work was done behind the scenes and only resulted in a very short delay. The initial viewing with Adam was good, after which Michael handled most of the process, but all of the team that we interacted with at Benjamin Stevens were very helpful. Erison, who handled our mortagage application was very helpful as well. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

I have been looking for a wonderful apartment for my son and his fiancee for a while now. When I saw this apartment advertised on Tristram’s website, I immediately contacted the office. Even though it was a busy Good Friday Easter weekend, Cora tried her best to get us a viewing. George was doing the viewings that day and he said he would try to contact me if he had a cancellation. Even though I was willing to put a holding deposit down on the apartment without viewing it, When I rang the office, they told me that they did have a cancellation. Two hours later, we met Poppy at the apartment, And as soon as we saw it we knew it was the right one. After the viewing, Cora did everything possible to help complete the deal. I explained to her that I was driving back to Devon 5 1/2 hours and that we wouldn’t be able to fill out the forms until the next day, She told me it wouldn’t be a problem and by Saturday we had done just that. Cora has been very helpful, And she is in constant contact with us. In the past, I have had many dealings with the estate agents, And have never met one so professional helpful and kind as Cora has been. Great job, Cora!

The initial contact with Marta was very positive. Marta took the time to understand our criteria, discuss what we absolutely wanted (location, number of rooms, etc.), and what we were willing to compromise on. Interacted with Benjamin Stevens while they were managing a building where I was a leaseholder, and the experience was deeply disappointing. They blindly followed illegal instructions from the building's freeholder, issuing bills and demands in clear violation of the Building Safety Act (and other acts). Their actions were dishonest, and they acted like the right hand of the freeholder, carrying out unlawful directives. Their accounting was absolutely shoddy, creating a chaotic financial situation. Things were so bad that even a housing association had to take the freeholder to a Tribunal, and Benjamin Stevens was part and parcel of this mess. This company is deeply embedded in an industry rife with dishonesty, and they seem to practice that dishonesty with expertise. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I interviewed 3 Auction Companies when my family decided that Auction was the route we wanted to go down. 2 were what I would call huge companies and then we wanted to talk to a smaller company as my partner is not a fan of large corporates, probably because he has a small company! I have to be honest and say that from the first time Lloyd walked into the property we knew he was the person we wanted to trust with the sale. Firstly, he was on time not like the other 2! Lloyd was very matter of fact in a pleasant but strong way. We told him that his valuation was a bit lower than the others and after he explained about “upfront listing fees” we understood why. Lloyd does not charge an upfront listing fee so he would not list the house at what we wanted but listed it at a price to sell. As he explained his marketing campaign to us we realised that if the property was indeed worth more then this would show on the day during the bidding process. I am 100% convinced we made the right choice in instructing Benjamin Stevens and Lloyd. He was literally on call until the late hours and even on Sunday afternoon we had a 20 minute conversation when we received a pre auction bid which we decided in this case not to take. We actually got the same price in the Auction so maybe we should have just taken it but we wanted to see it go to Auction as we were actually enjoying the buzz of the process so much. Lloyd clearly loves his job and it shows in his work ethic, he is blunt but not rude, he is funny but not a comedian! He was an absolute pleasure to work with and deserved his 2% fee 100%. My family will recommend both Lloyd and the company he works for. Benjamin Stevens has apparently been in business 20 years and we can see why. What a company, what a team

I recently sold my house through tristam’s and I must give them credit for how straight forward and stress free my experience was. My first encounter with tristams was when Liam attended to provide a valuation, he was very friendly and thorough, he gave me a full explanation as to what properties in this area are likely to achieve and what can increase their likability and entice a potential buyer. Matthew then attended to take photographs of our home again he was super friendly and polite. There was minimal disruption during his visit i barely knew he was there which was very much appreciated considering we have a new born baby 😊 Upon Matthew’s arrival he asked if it was okay to adjust blinds and curtains to capture the best sunlight and move any items to avoid the room looking cluttered if needed. To which I was more than happy for him to do. Finally I would like to give a shout out to Talia and Marta for arranging all of the viewing. Especially to Marta for attending our home for some of those viewings to help support with showing potential buyers round and answering any questions they had. I think the fact you communicate via WhatsApp makes everything a lot easier. I was able to provide my availability and discuss dates and times for viewings with ease. All in all I would certainly recommend tristams to any of my friends and family and would definitely consider using them in the future. Thank you all 😊

I had the pleasure of working with Lloyd Coleman from Benjamin Stevens, and the experience was genuinely refreshing. No matter how busy Lloyd was, he always took my call.
